RUINED OR PATCHED

"Bella, lets go" Aiden, the man whom Bella was hopelessly in love with for the past seven years tugged at her hand, forcing her to start walking. But Bella stood rooted to the spot, eyes fixed on someone who deceived her.

Kai Deluca, a handsome devil who looks a little like her step brother Aiden, but still completely different. He stole her first kiss, her virginity, and her first everything. She gave it all on her own will, mistaking him for her stepbrother. He lied to her, he hid his identity as the most feared mafia boss ever.

Aiden is the CEO of a reputed company. He is safe with boy next door looks and most importantly, the man whom Bella used to like.

Kai, on the other hand, is a different story. He is deceivingly handsome, insanely powerful, and outrageously scary. His name alone scares the shit out of even grown men double his size. He is dangerous and the kind of person whom every mother warns their daughters to stay away from.

Yet, Bella got tangled up with someone like him.

The man who scares everyone is now standing there, without uttering a single word when the woman whom he used to sleep with was being taken away by some other man.

Bella's heartstrings tugged painfully. More pain than she has ever experienced before. Pain, that was shocking. Pain because he didn't seem to care about her. Pain because of his indifference. And anger at her own reaction.

She should hate him. She should feel happy that she finally got what she always longed for, Aiden's attention and affection. She should celebrate because Aiden ignored Grace for the first time and chose Bella instead.

Grace, the woman whom Aiden preferred and believed over Bella. Now, Aiden seemed obviously jealous with the fact that Bella is seeing someone else and is no longer tagging along with him like a lost puppy. Grace is fuming silently because Aiden pushed her away for Bella. This is what Bella dreamed about. But now, when it finally happened, she kept staring at Kai, hoping that he would come forward and explain.

"Bella," Aiden tugged harder, and she started to walk away from Kai. As the distance between them started to grow, so did the uneasiness in her heart. She was forced to turn away from Kai when Aiden urged her to sit inside his waiting car.

As she turned away from Kai, she didn't notice the flicker of something flash in his otherwise cold and detached gaze.

"You sure you want to let her go?" Christian Deluca, Kai's uncle inquired casually while looking at the speeding car that is taking Bella away from Kai.

Christian raised Kai from a very young age. Kai is a loner, he never gets attached to anyone. Not even Christian who raised Kai. Their lifestyle turned Kai colder and harder. He is unapproachable. Yet, he let Bella into his bed, more than once. She almost always got away with everything, and that means something if the person who is letting her off the hook is Kai.

"That was a mistake from the beginning. I explored the misunderstanding. She always wanted that man. Now she got her wish fulfilled. What would I stop her for?" Kai replied calmly. But he refused to acknowledge the storm brewing in his heart.

Christian looked at Kai sadly.

'Where will this lead to?' he wondered. But he couldn't sit still and let someone else take the girl his nephew liked away from him.

"You should reconsider your decision. She knows more about us than she should have," Christian reminded Kai silently. He is pushing his nephew to act. And his tactic worked. Because Kai was waiting for a reason to stop Bella.

"Right, she could prove fatal to us," Kai murmured with a devilish smirk as he sat inside his car before speeding after Bella and Aiden.

Inside the car, Bella looked as lost as she felt.

"Bella, I am sure you must have misunderstood him for me. It's ok, I am here now. I will protect you. I know I never acknowledged your feelings before. Please forgive me. Let's start over. Will you give me another chance? " Aiden requested. He remembered the awful feeling when he saw Bella with someone else. When she used to run after him for his affection, he didn't realize that he liked her too, until now. There is no way that he would allow her to be someone else when he realized his feelings for her.

Aiden's mobile buzzed with an incoming call. He looked at the caller ID and dismissed the call without a second thought. It's from Grace, his secretary and his former classmate.

His mobile started ringing again, but he dismissed the call again. He glanced at Bella, who was looking out of the window and had yet to say a single word to him from the moment he found her kissing Kai.

"Bella," he tried to talk to her, because she was never this quiet, especially when she was with him. But to his shock, she didn't reply.

He frowned deeply. He didn't notice the melancholy brewing in the depths of her gaze. Confusion, pain and longing were seen there. She thought that she loved Aiden, but she did not understand why she was not feeling anything when he was trying to engage her in a conversation while ignoring Grace. And most importantly, he confessed indirectly. That was a first. She should be celebrating. But no, her mind and heart are stuck with Kai, the man who betrayed her.

Suddenly, Aiden was forced to stop his car when a sleek black sports car blocked their way out of nowhere. The black car has tinted windows and a limited edition version.

Bella lurched forward when Aiden applied the breaks suddenly. When she looked at the familiar car blocking their way and the man who was confidently walking towards them like he owned the world, her heart soared.

Her car door opened and she was pulled outside forcefully, but not roughly.

"You are coming with me," he declared.

She wanted an explanation from him. But here he was bossing her around like he always does.

"No," she replied and tugged at her hand. But she was roughly pulled into a kiss that tasted bitter mixed with longing.

"Hey, let her g,o" Aiden demanded.

But when Kai raised his gun and pointed it at Aiden's head, the latter stopped dead in his tracks. Kai is not to be triffled with.
