Chapter Twenty Eight

PRESENT

“I saw her.”

The woman in black muttered, and the detective changed his position.

“How can I be certain you are telling the truth?” The detective raised his eyebrows, waiting for her reply.

“Because you have no other choice than to believe me,” the woman stated, making the detective wrinkle his forehead. He didn’t trust the woman,”besides, I have no reason to lie. There isn’t a reward money.”

The detective stood up from the chair, pacing round the room, with his hands behind.

“Where did you see the model?” His voice, hoarse and firm.

The lady paused for a moment, staring at nothing in particular. “Riverside California.”

The detective took his seat after the lady spoke, he knew that was the place Raven grew up, before moving to LA.

What was she doing over there? It was all a mystery.
