Chapter Twenty Seven

Streaming tears cleansed her red cheeks. Few droplets remained, forgetting their way as the path was swept from beneath them, consequently blurring Raven’s vision, with waves of sadness only the broken encounter.

The sadness drained through her spines rather than skating over her skin. It travelled through every cell to reach the ground.

Next thing she knew she was there, at the front gate, watching France leave in his car. She tried to yell, but her words failed her, they came out weak and cracked. Biting her lip to stop the tears from increasing. Jace was standing infront of her, watching her every move sternly, as though he knew what was going on.

After that. She was alone, angry and devastated. Her heart felt butchered, and weak.
