"Wake up!" exclaims the narrator. I hear a lady screaming at me; is she the same person who just handed me the knife?

I sigh as I realize I was reliving an old experience, why is it that I can't be allowed to die, there's nothing for me as I open my eyes, it's back to the misery I need to maintain, is it even worth it? When I finally open my eyes to see the ruined ceiling paint, I turn around and find the dog from earlier on my side, who gives me a sorrowful grin as he growls at someone besides me.

"Calm down, I won't hurt her; she is, after all, under my care. Chamika, how are you?" The director inquires, his voice hoarse, from what I recall.

Did animal control try to catch him? Turning my head to get a closer look, the dog has a ketch and release pole. The director tries to speak again, but this time I hear a woman speak in his place. I move my hand, which feels like it has a hole burnt straight through it, and when I glance down, I see a hand cast.
