Skye my change and discovering our exit

I opened my eyes and squinted at the brightness. I could also feel my ear twitching from each little sound I heard. I looked around for Chance and listened attentively. I could hear mumbling and fussing along with suckling. I climbed out of the bed and stumbled a little and realized that I was taller. I bit my lip and compared myself to the doorway. I was only perhaps a half a foot shorter. I chuckled softly and continued down the stairs. My eyes widened seeing the full colors that filled our humble abode within the gray void. I stopped suddenly and gazed at Chance with our son and it hit me. Love was the answer and what would remove the void. My mother had been able to open it due to her caring about the people trapped but her spell didn't have love backing it. Chance saw me and smiled.
