Prologue...

It is said that every day brings a new spirit into everyone's life but some people fear daybreak.

Shelly was a struggling singer who worked day and night to become an idol. She also learned how to dance, dress, and apply cosmetics; she had almost touched every aspect of the music and entertainment industries.

But before her career could take off, something happened that dried it out.

During her first audition, she ran across a man who claimed to be quite powerful in this industry.

From then, he had been haunting her like a nightmare at every audition she attended and made every possible way to prevent her from getting selected.

That year, she went to nine auditions, but despite her exceptional talent, she was brutally turned down.

She was completely hopeless until her friend Lara called to let her know she had been cast in a Chinese television series.

Shelly attended the audition with excitement and was unexpectedly chosen.

The director handed her two translated copies of the Chinese novel, which served as the basis for the television series, to read.

She began reading the book, which told the story of a queen who was forced into marriage with the king.

Shelly read the first part of the novel on the day she was given it.

The director phoned her and requested a meeting, but that is when everything changed.

When she went to meet the director in his office, she saw the same man coming out of his room smirking at her.

"You can't escape..." he smiled sarcastically and left Shelly devastated.

And the director immediately rejected her, as was to be anticipated.

He was the one who ruined my life, so to speak. My life is finished, I am doomed."

Every part of her mind is filled with these thoughts.

She remembers the story she had been reading from the morning, at the end of the book, the queen hangs herself to the ceiling and ends her life, Shelley found it difficult to understand then, but now she feels the same.

Shelley's mother had been providing money for Shelley to pursue her dream of becoming a police officer by having her perform various labour tasks. However, Shelley paid for her training and auditions with every dollar she had.

She plans to take her own life by plunging into a river since she has nothing left.

When she got to the river's edge, she let go of the last tear in her eyes and dove into the water to put an end to her terrible existence.

It must be finished...! The darkness must be engulfing her but there was a brightness instead.

Destiny gave her a second chance to live a different life in a different world.

She was reborn as the queen, Luli, about whom she read the story that morning.

The miserable one but the queen after all.

Nevertheless, her struggles continued as she had to approach things from a different angle.

The issue was that Shelly was transmigrated to the second half of the book, which she never got the chance to read.
