The way of kissing and the intensity were breathtaking, but I felt suffocating, I could hardly fill my lungs and that made my vision blurry,

It was more like killing me, strangling me to death.

Swirling and whirling, I felt like I was laying on a roller coaster, I don't remember anything after that,

But when I got my conscience, I feel something crawling on my forehead, my lips passing through my chin then ending up at my neck seeking the way through my neckline, to enter my coastline, but I halted it halfway and opened my eyes suddenly,

With my blurry vision, I could see a man laying next to me.

Heat coiled up in my belly and my toes curled, my lips parted and instead of feeling fear, I felt attracted to him. His big frame almost fell on me, close enough not to allow any air to pass through,

I don't know what was going to happen and what happened to him but the man in front of me was dead quiet, a shiver as icy fingers of dread scraped at the back of my neck. He was staring at me with his creased eyebrows as I suddenly opened my eyes.

He leaned towards me and turned left to my ear, my blood rushed to my cheeks, when his hot breath fell on my neck and his intoxicating cedar and spicy scent surrounded me, no men had ever come so close to me,

Immediately shoving those strange feelings out of my mind, I jerked into a sitting position, only to get pinned by him back beneath his strong body, his face just an inch away, that I could feel his breath on my cheeks,

He was glaring at me, and I was speechless,

What is he going to do?

Is he going to kiss me again as he did before?

"Get away....!" I shouted pushing him away, he fell because it was a sudden attack, but he instantly hopped back in a fraction of a second,

"Did you forget that I am your husband?" he whispered gritting his teeth dwelling his lips to that of mine,

"You taste awesome....!! I never thought that I will feel you on my lips" he said as his lips touched my chin,

My heart was pacing, how could he force me?

"Husband....!! you are more like a beast...!"

His dwelling halted and the colours of his face faded, his eyes narrowed,

"If I am a beast then let me be one," he said getting irritated and glaring at me with lust, there was no way that he was going to back out, but I can't give in.

This man, never treated Luli like his wife, she was treated like a scrap all her life, just like a waste, that had been dumped on him, scrolling her to death, torturing her, insulting her, he never treated her like a human at least,

Then what right does he have to call me his wife, he is nothing but an animal hunting its prey and I can't be prey to him.

Never....!!

As anger and disgust backed me up, an unknown strength passed through my veins, I had been through many struggles in my life too, I can never allow a man like this to force me. It's my second chance in life and I will never lose that second chance to this man, I pushed him and rolled over, instantly grabbing a lamp stand from the side table as a weapon,

"Stay away you beast, my body is not for you to play" I was serious, making sure that I am not going to be his prey, I was ready to kill or ready to die,

At first, he glared at me with an unsatisfied and unhappy gaze then he withdrew, inhaling sharply next to me and then in one shift motion he barged out of the room.

I took a breath in, studying my unstable breath,

Did I just win a battle against him?

My hands were still shivering vigorously and my heart was pounding inside its cage in a non-rhythmical 'lab- dab'.

He didn't show up after that I wish he won't.

The door opened again and jolted back getting a grip of that lamp stand instantly, erect to attack, but it wasn't him, it was Aali who entered with a bowl of water, smiling at me but suddenly her expression changed when she saw the lampstand in my hand.

"My lady it's me...!" her words stuttered as she shivered with fear that I was going to attack her,

I kept that lampstand away assuring her that I am fine and I won't harm her,

"Come near Aali, I won't do anything to you"

She brought that bowl of hot water with a clean towel to wipe my body, it was something common for these ancient people, but I miss my hot shower.

The stream from the hot shower curled and spread across my body, relaxing my tightened muscles and cascading down detangling my issues from my mind.

I miss it, imagining simple things which I never thought I would miss making me feel the urge to cry,

Am I that weak to cry for such a trivial matter?

No, I am not...!!

Taking a long and deep breath I fought for endurance and stability. When I opened my eyes again, determination gleamed in my eyes as the earlier stormy depths cleared and quieted down. My will was solid as the ancient glaciers again, I have endured enough, now it's their chance to endure those hardships,

I won't give up, wasn't death, enough for me to learn a lesson...!!

What else can dominate me, when death itself could not shake my will?

That timid girl Luli is gone and so is Shelley,

the one here is not a poor Shelley nor that timid Luli...
