Selene's POV

The note burned in my hand, as though it carried a fever of its own. Even now, after reading it a dozen times, the words seem to whisper louder rather than fade. “...Do with this what you want, but I’d advise you to keep this from Alpha Kieran. He may not even save you.”

I stared at it again, maybe for the last time. The ink had bled slightly, like the pen had been pressed too hard. I turned it over, then again, half-hoping that on this third—or tenth—inspection, a secret would reveal itself. Maybe a name, an initial, or even a smudge that made sense.

But there was nothing. Just the words.

I pressed it to my chest, as if I could slow the racing of my heart by force. My hands trembled slightly, and I hated that they did.

Who had slipped it under my door?

And why now?

I had felt like eating when I woke up just moments before—nothing too heavy, something to remind me I was still human. But now, that craving is gone as my stomach clenches with something colder than hunger.

  • Reborn as his Fated Luna   Chapter 23: More Than the Eyes Met

Selene’s POV“Luna Raven…”The whisper froze me and I couldn't move. My hand hovered just above the doorknob and my breath caught somewhere between my lungs and throat. That voice… though I was quite convinced that it wasn’t Kieran’s as it lacked his weight, power, and his ever-present restraint. This was different as it was fragile and unsteady, but it carried something deeper and a strange familiarity I couldn’t quite place.I leaned forward on the door cool to look through. Even though I knew I wouldn’t see anything, yet some part of me needed to be sure.“Who’s there?” I whispered, barely trusting my voice. There was a thick and heavy kind that pressed into the room like a fog. Just as my pulse began to slow, thinking that I had imagined it, the voice returned—shakier now, almost like a breath not meant to be heard.“Please… let me in. This is very confidential.”That word—confidential—sent a shiver crawling over my spine. It was a strange word to use and it is almost too formal.

  • Reborn as his Fated Luna   Chapter 21- Not again!

Selene’s POVI managed to get to my chamber after I felt I was done reminiscing over Kieran’s words to me before he excused himself.Maybe he wasn’t just cool with the presence of Draven and maybe meant no harm. Or let’s say, I was even overthinking it. I can be like that sometimes, and I know that.Still, there was something unsettling about the way he looked at Draven. Not just with suspicion, but something deeper—almost like fear laced with anger. That alone should’ve been enough to warn me.But it wasn’t like I had answers, just more questions and emotions I didn’t know what to do with.I forced myself to a little nap, hoping sleep would quiet my thoughts. My head was heavy, and my heart? It felt like it had run a marathon. I curled into the blanket, stared at the ceiling for what felt like forever, and finally dozed off not long enough.Just as I woke up, the light in the room was dim—sunset maybe. It took a few seconds before my brain caught up with my body, and then it hit me.

  • Reborn as his Fated Luna   Chapter 20: What does he mean by that?

Selene’s POVI had looked up to today like it was eternity, even though it was just a 24-hour wait.I mean, Draven can’t keep me hanging and longing for a solution that might be a literal lifesaver—just like that. A part of me was sure he had the answer I’d been aching for, even though we didn't get the opportunity to get more into that. Then the other part of me? Was unapologetically wrecked with nervous Still, this seemed a little harder than I had imagined in my head.Oh, that! That’s one thing I’m absolutely good at. Imagination! It’s where I build ideas that help me pull through in difficult moments where I can't speak to anyone about it, create perfect endings, and rewrite my life with a single stroke. And now? I’m stuck here on reality’s ground floor, pretending like I’m just waiting for Draven for the leg massage.‘Finally he is here.’I thought to myself the moment he got in. Just the exact time he came the other two days was just the same as he did today. Right on time beca

  • Reborn as his Fated Luna   Chapter 19—In for a long thing.

Selene POV“...You know, sometimes I just want to give something a second chance just to prove a point, and I think that's exactly what I just did.” Alpha Kieran rebuked Draven.Even if I seem to forget anything or take anything for granted, not how mean Alpha Kieran can be mean with his words or how he would stop at nothing until he accomplishes what he wants. At this moment, what do I even do? I don't even know what my fate here is. I had thought that meeting with Draven and getting to know he knew better than I did would definitely be some headway. What risk was he actually referring to?Could it be something I could risk for?Whatever it is, I think I was ready to do it to tackle this situation. If I could at least know what Draven had wanted to say about risk, then that would likely go a long way to knowing how to probably pull this through. Because as long as I know, it would have been a scenario of two good heads are better than one because way back when we were kids, Draven ha

  • Reborn as his Fated Luna   Chapter 18—What risk exactly?

Kieran POVI decided to get to Luna's chamber to see how the message is going, at least to hear from the doctor's mouth himself.“Who do we have here?”I questioned with a thick voice that demanded attention the moment I got closer. But on a closer observation, it seemed I had interrupted an ongoing conversation between the two.To the best of my knowledge, these two haven't known themselves, as he is a new human doctor. Besides my Luna, I have never really enjoyed talking to people that well. But then, that wasn't really the case; someone might decide to do the unusual. What struck me was the few words I was quite sure I heard: “I think I have an idea, but I really don't know if you could risk it.”What idea was that exactly?Who is meant to risk what?Since it's coming from the human doctor, does that mean the risk is required of my Luna?Anyway, it's quite early to jump to conclusions when I can actually ask questions.Another thing that caught my attention was how his eyes widened
