ADIRA’S POV

“I will find whoever killed me and my daughter in my past life," I vowed as I walked out of the office. “Let's play this game.” I muttered.

As I walked away from the office, only one thought was on my mind.

How do I begin? ...

“I have to figure things out fast. There is no time to waste. The first thing to do is to gather allies. I need people on our side.” I thought to myself.

But who?... That was another question.

I stood outside for a couple of minutes, my eyes glued to the sky as I thought hard on what to do.

Just then an omega scurried past me carrying a large bowl of laundry. From the clothes inside, I could immediately tell who had sent her to wash them.

Kaida and her obnoxious girl group. They are always looking for new ways to torture people, and I was once one of their victims.

I watched the Omega disappear around the corner… And then it hit me.

Omegas…

They were everywhere. Quiet, invisible, and ignored but always present. No one paid attention to them; their presence is always disregarded like an ugly painting stuck on the wall. Yet they moved through every hall, every room. Cleaning, delivering, serving.

Which meant…

They see everything.

Hear everything.

But never speak of it.

My lips parted slightly as the idea took shape.

All I need to do is use the ones no one ever notices to find out everything no one wanted me to know…

They are my best bet at making allies, and they never break a trust. I just needed to win their trust.

“It's time to put my position to good use…” I muttered to myself, and with that thought, I briskly moved in the direction the omega had gone.

I cut the corner of the dining hall and made a beeline for the pack house, but something caught my eye inside the dining hall. I retraced my steps and entered the dining hall.

“I asked you to wash my clothes, and you are here eating?” Xena yelled.

A sharp slap hit the omega's face; she stumbled backwards, and her back hit the table. She fell on the ground, groaning in pain.

Xena and her two minions snickered, a smug look on their faces.

“I am sorry… I haven't eaten anything since morning, so I had to quickly eat something before I continued.” The omega pleaded, tears running down her face.

As I watched the scene unfold, my heart pounded in my chest. I wanted to help, but the fear of my past life was imprinted on my heart. Getting involved meant putting myself on the spot for their ridicule.

“Shut up!” One of Xena’s minions shrieked, lifting her leg to kick the omega.

I moved without thinking. One second I was at the door, and the next my fingers were clamped around her ankle mid-air.

She froze and whipped her head around. I threw the leg back with full force. She fell on a stack of chairs and burst into tears.

My heart raced. Was I really doing this? In my past life, I would have cowered… but not this time. Not anymore.

“How dare you?!” Xena yelled at me. She stomped over, her hands stretching into the air, aiming to land a slap on my face, but I caught her wrist before impact.

I looked up at her slowly. “Is this what makes you feel powerful?” I said, my voice quiet but firm.

Her eyes widened in surprise. She had thought that I would cower in fear as before.

She tried to pull away, but I didn’t let go…not yet. I wanted to feel her fear.

The omega curled into herself behind me, still sniffling.

I twisted her hand backwards, and she let out a loud scream. Somehow their pains brought me joy. I released her hand and kicked her backwards.

They helped their friend up. She held her side that had hit the chair, and Xena held her hand. Each nursing their injured parts. They were all scowling, but I could see the shock in their eyes at my sudden fierce attitude.

Why can’t you wash your clothes yourself?” I asked calmly. “If you want things a certain way and at a certain time, then do it yourself!” I snapped.

“That's bullshit!” Xena spat, “Omegas are meant to serve. They need to earn their keep!” she fumed.

“And you…” she glared at me, “you seem to have forgotten your place. You are nothing but a whore that sneaked her way into the alpha's bed!” She yelled.

My eyes immediately turned cold; I clenched my fists. “Kneel…” I said, quietly but audibly.

Her eyebrows furrowed. “What?”

“I said kneel!” I growled, my wolf making an appearance, my eyes glowing.

Her eyes widened, and she stumbled backwards in fear.

“Kneel, now!” I growled louder, advancing towards her.

She immediately went on her knees, shaking like a leaf.

I glanced at her friends, and that was all I needed to do… They immediately knelt down, their eyes wide like saucepans.

“Now apologise…” I said calmly.

“I… I am sorry…” they all said reluctantly.

I smirked, “Address me properly, or you might just lose your throat.” I threatened in a grim voice.

“I am sorry, Luna Adira,” they all immediately said.

“Now to her.” I nodded towards the omega.

“What?” Xena yelled.

“Do as I said now!” I growled lowly.

“I…am sorry, Clara,” they apologised reluctantly.

“What's going on here?” Ryder's voice suddenly echoed inside the hall.

I looked up and looked around. That was when I realised that the hall was filled with pack members. Ryder stood with Kaida by his side.

Someone must have called his attention.

“I am only teaching your subjects how to treat other people. Just because a person is an omega doesn't mean they should be treated less than a human.” I replied flatly.

“It is exactly like you said. They are my subjects, my people. Since when did you have the right to discipline people without my permission? You are not my Luna, are you?” He asked coldly, his eyes sharp. “Last I remember, you turned me down.

My heart pounded in my chest. He was aiming to publicly disgrace me, and it was working. Tears stung in my eyes, but I held them back.

“I am asking a question, Adira. Are you my Luna?” He asked again coldly.

As I looked at him, I saw the Ryder I had always known, but something was different. Before now he had completely ignored my existence no matter what was going on. Why is he now suddenly acting like this in public?

What should I do? ...

RORY’S POVI pinched the bridge of my nose, my eyes shut tight as the weight of the discussion pressed heavily on my shoulders. I stood up and paced the room, groaning under my breath.“What do I do?” I continued to ask myself. But I couldn't seem to find any answers.I sighed heavily and turned to Jackson. “How many warriors are currently tasked with the duty of watching over Lumina?” I asked.“There are six of them. It was three before you asked that I double them after the rogue confession,” he replied. “Should I add more warriors?” he asked.“No, that would be too much,” I replied. “Six is already a lot, and she never leaves the pack,” I muttered under my breath. “What about our spies? How is it that it was Luna Adira’s people who caught the traitor and not them?” I asked.Jackson bowed regretfully. “I also scolded them about that. They never expected that it would be someone of little importance in the pack, so it was hard to catch on. They will double down when there is another

RYDER'S POV“Damn, that was so embarrassing,” I muttered to myself as the call ended, but I couldn't help but smile. I knew she caught me in the lie, but it didn’t matter because at least I got to talk to her and see her face.I didn’t realize how hard it would be not to see her until she left, and after barely a day, I was already starting to lose my mind. "When did I fall this hard for her?" I thought to myself.I waved at Lumina, who was still busy playing and didn't bother to wave back. I made my way to the office. As I cut the corner, I noticed two people, which immediately caught my attention as I noticed who they were. Mum and Kaida were standing behind a pillar in the corner, whispering to each other. I didn’t realize how much trouble Mum was until now, and she was starting to get on my last nerve. Especially after the stunt she pulled at my marriage ceremony. I couldn't find the life of me to understand why she was doing all these things. “What are you two doing there?” I

ADIRA'S POV“Beta…” I muttered, a bit surprised as I turned and saw his face.“Hello, Lady Adira. It's Beta Cedric,” he introduced himself with a smile. He didn't look any different from my memory. His innocent smile was almost blinding, making me wonder if I was right to suspect him. But I knew better than to trust outward looks.I smiled. “Beta Cedric, you don't need to introduce yourself to me. I remember you. It hasn't been that long since I left the pack,” I replied.“Ohh, pardon me. I only introduced myself because of how you were looking at me. It stared blankly, like you couldn't remember me, so I thought to introduce myself and make it easier for you,” he said.I nodded and said nothing in reply. “How did you know to find me here?” I asked after a short pause.“Ohh, I heard some pack members talking about how you’ve been standing here all alone,” he replied. “When I heard, I decided to come see you because it's been a while since I last saw you. I was thinking you would come

ADIRA’S POV“What happened to them? How come no one noticed that their house was burning?” My past self yelled at the Beta and some elders who stood there.“It’s no one’s fault, Lady Adira. When we noticed what was happening, we immediately started trying to put the fire out. At the same time, we also tried to mindlink them, but their blocks were up. We then had to send in some warriors to rescue them, but they were already dead,” the Beta replied.I moved closer to them, my eyes watching the Beta and the elders closely.“And why are they out here?” She cried. “This is the Alpha and Luna of this pack! How could you leave them outside like this?”The elders and the Beta shared an uncomfortable look. “We wanted to take them inside, but the Beta asked that we leave them out here until you arrive,” one of the elders said. The Beta glared at the elder who had spoken. My eyebrows furrowed. "I had forgotten about this conversation," I thought to myself. Her head snapped to the Beta. “You ord

  • Reborn for vengeance: From ashes to Luna    Chapter 101

ADIRA'S POVWalking around the pack brought back a lot of memories, but reminiscing on the good old days lasted for only a few minutes before I began to worry again.“There is something I thought of this morning when I was talking to Mum and Dad,” I said to my wolf.My wolf stirred from the back of my mind and came forward. “What's that?” she asked.“If the death of my parents was planned by someone in Ryder's pack, then the person would definitely need the help of someone in my parents’ pack. And even if the person who planned everything is in this pack, one question still remains—who is it?”“First off, don't you think it's time you stopped referring to the Lunar Guard pack as Ryder's pack? It is now our pack too. It's time you start accepting that. Building self-respect starts from within, from yourself first,” my wolf admonished.“You are right, but that pack doesn't feel like mine. It still doesn't feel like I belong there. I am only trying to survive for now. Maybe one day I wil

  • Reborn for vengeance: From ashes to Luna    Chapter 100

ELISE'S POVI had to prepare something else for us to eat after our discussions as an apology for making them not eat earlier. I did not mind though; I would cook for them forever if that meant they would stay alive.I was planning to leave the next day now that I had the talk with them. So for today, I just wanted to rest. After they left the house to do whatever it was they needed to do, I returned to my room.I let out a sigh as my back hit the bed. It felt amazing to finally be back on my bed again. Lying on my back, my eyes fixed on the ceiling. “There was a time in my past that those stars were all I bothered about, all I wanted,” I muttered, looking at the stars I had put up on my ceiling at a young age. “And there was a time when I worried about nothing. All I did was follow my father around, learning the ropes to be a good Alpha. Mum was always jealous that I wanted to be an Alpha and not a Luna. But it turns out the very thing I did not want was what I now am. Funny how life
