Reckless Renegades Merigold's Story

Merigold I'm sitting in front of the house where I am supposed to meet my older brother for the first time. My true father’s house. I'm so nervous my stomach didn't have butterflies it had bats flying around in there. I take several deep breaths to try to calm myself while looking at the house in front of me. But it isn’t working. So I focus on the house instead.  It is a two-story house with a big front yard. A little run down, but not too bad. Grey paint peeling in various spots. Nothing a good paint job couldn’t fix. A beautiful wrap-around porch that looks like several boards needed to be replaced.   The windows look like they haven't been cleaned in months. Nothing a little care and maintenance couldn’t fix. The lawn looks like it has recently been mowed but the flower beds close to the porch were overgrown. Merigold We pull through a gate that surrounds the grounds of the club property, into the clubhouse parking lot, and get out. It is an old two-story warehouse that they had converted. Ethan had told me the top floor housed rooms for the club members and visitors from other clubs. As well as club bunnies that stayed there. The bottom floor has common areas, bar, kitchen, and offices.  There is a ramp leading up to the front door. To the right of it on the brick wall is the painted club name and symbol. There are several motorcycles parked in a row in front of the symbol. We walk over to the ramp and Ethan stops " I'm going to take you inside in just a minute. Merigold" What's so funny?" a female voice says. I turn and see an older woman walking towards us. When she sees the boys she moves faster towards them. She is almost beside them when I jump down from behind Tank. “ Are you two of the cutest things?” the woman says. I dart within arms reach of the twins to place myself between them and this strange woman. She is in her late 50's I think with dark brown hair. I can see a few wrinkles on her tan face. She is about five foot eleven I guess. Don't they have any short people in this place? You know besides me. " The twins just got excited about having a few new uncles." Viper answers. MerigoldI walked in and saw Tank sitting at the bar. I haven't seen him since that bad day and I was a little nervous. He looked up at me as I got close. I reached in my bag and pulled a tin of home red velvet cookies with white chocolate chips and handed it to him. He lifted the lid, got one out, and took a bite. Merigold3 weeks laterI'm sitting at the clubhouse bar waiting on Viper and talking to the Prospect on duty. We are talking about the latest design I have on my tablet. I have been coming around pretty frequently getting used to everyone Sometimes I come by myself and other times I bring the boys. Jace and Jax love coming here to hang out with their uncles or going to the playroom. The guys seem to like having the boys around. And it is fun to watch the badass bikers turn to big kids when the boys visit. I have had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting a few of the club bunnies. And by meeting I mean they glare at me and walk away with their noses in the air. And make snide comments when they think I can’t hear them. They don't know who I am or what I am to the club and that's the way I like it. I don’t want people to be nice to
