Olvia’s POV

Austin sighed, blurting out the truth eventually. “The Alpha heir was taken.”

The whole room erupted in gasps and murmurs, but I gritted my teeth, staring into space. Even though I knew about that fact, it still tore me from inside every time I heard it.

“What happened? When was that?” The elders asked, they stared at me, but I was mute, bit down on my bottom lip as I looked away. I couldn’t let my eyes get teary now. It would be against me.

“Alpha Da–” Austin coughed. “Ex Alpha Damien had tried his best to save the boy, but he couldn’t, he placed his life on the line and even lost his ability to walk in the process, but he lost the boy.”

My jaw dropped as I flashed Austin a glance. What the fuck was he talking about? Damien did everything possible to keep me and Jeremy safe and it was even Austin that let Jeremy go, not Damien.
