Chapter Nineteen

Mate:

Levi stood in the middle of the cell, her breathing in her throat catching, heart pounding in her chest. Her whole body vibrated anticipating what was coming. His eyes burned into hers as the whole time he was standing there his gaze never left hers. She felt her skin turn hot and felt like it was burning. Everything felt like it was at a standstill, that the whole world had been paused.

The sound of the metal gate rolling open as it scraped against the bottom of the cell echoed into it. The noise sent chills through her and it rattled her bones.

“Mate, mate mate. Want, want , want.” Cahira was dancing around inside of her mind, begging for his touch, the feel of him to be next to her.

“Hush. We just split his skull open. I doubt he wants to cuddle.” Levi snapped at her.

He didn't say anything as he walked into the cell. He was blocking her only exit. She had just seen him hours ago and was still taken back by his size. He towered over her. She began calculating how she was
