Chapter 12

The next morning, Shana woke up and saw Dennis beside him. She stares at his husband's face.

It took a while for the reality of their situation to sink in. Shana had almost forgotten what day of the week it was. It was Thursday, the fifth of August. That meant that Shana and Dennis would be separated soon. She couldn't help but cry.

She sat up and wrapped her arms around him. Her fingers traced the scarred skin of his face and neck. He looked away from her, unable to look at her while she cried. Shana held him tighter. They stayed this way until she managed to calm down a little. She wiped away her tears and leaned close to her husband and kissed his forehead.

"I love you, Darling," Shana muttered.

Dennis turned towards Shana. He lifted her face gently with both his hands and kissed her gently. Shana moaned a little as Dennis deepened the kiss. Her hand moved up towards his face and stroked it gently. Dennis closed his eyes and savored the sweet moments. Shana smiled, feeling his soft
