Sierra lifted her head and met John's gaze.

There was nothing between her and Solomon, but being stared at like that still made her feel on edge.

John set his helmet on the motorcycle and walked toward her, his steps steady and powerful. Even in the dark, his black eyes were so intense they made her want to run. He simply watched her from a short distance away.

He didn't move or look away.

"You're here," Solomon greeted John, his tone as calm as ever.

John took in how close the two of them were standing.

Sierra instinctively took a step to the side to create some distance.

When she realized what she was doing, her expression shifted slightly. She didn't do anything wrong, so why did she feel guilty?

"Where's Kenneth?" John opened his mouth, his tone distant and cold as he addressed Solomon. "What did you do to him?"

"Is that why you came?" Solomon asked, a trace of amusement in his eyes.
