Aqua's POV.

"Too bad your mother is dead so she can't see you this miserable. That would give me so much satisfaction." Hank told me and I shivered, trying to piece everything he just said.

'He spoke about revenge. What revenge? Was I used? Does that mean he never loved me?' so many questions dashed through my mind, questions I didn't have an answer for.

"Few years back, your mother was responsible for my father's death. She reported that he was stalking her, he was arrested and killed in jail by a criminal." Hank began and my lips parted in shock.

What was he saying? I never knew about this.

"My mum almost went crazy when she found out. Then one night, after I came back from school, I saw that she had committed suicide." Hank paused, his eyes holding death stares that sent shivers down my spine.

"Your mother ruined my family and life in less than a month. I had to grow up in the streets. That was where I saw you and knew that I must have my revenge." Hank laughed, moving closer to me.

I unconsciously moved backwards, clenching the duvet around me tightly, like it would shield me from him.

"That was when I met you and God, I didn't have to do much work. You fell in love with me so easily, believed my lies like some fool and even offered the school funds your mum set aside for me." His words cut deep like blade and I realized he was right, I was a fool.

Who would do all that for a mere guy?

"To prove the moongoddess was on my side, she made us mates and I got together with Julia, made her seduce your father and planned your mum's death." Hank revealed and I held my breath sharply, my heart tightening as I hoped it wasn't what I was thinking.

"Unfortunately she got into an accident before I could kill her. What a loss! But I still had you, I could torment you however I wanted." Hank smirked, revealing his real face and I found myself wondering how I ever fell in love with him in the first place.

"I just used you Aqua. You never meant anything to me in the first place." He ran a hand through his hair.

"Since I am done with you. I, Hank shaw, reject you Aqua Lannister as my mate." Hank crushed the bond between us and tears stung my eyes as I felt my heart burning.

I clenched it through my hospital gown, hoping it would soothe it but rather the pain got worse and I had to bit my lower lips hard to fight back a scream.

Hank walked out of the ward, his laughter echoing in my head as heavy tears rolled down my cheeks.

How did it happen like this? Where did it all go wrong?

I tried speaking but ended up coughing more blood violent till a nurse rushed in and sedated me to sleep.

The next few days were spent at the hospital, nursing my health and the ache in my heart. At first, the doctor told me they couldn't find an antidote to my burning throat.

That meant I might probably not be able to speak again. Also I couldn't pay for the hospital bills when I was about to be discharged because Hank had withdrawn all the money in my accounts, including my savings.

My father's number was unreachable so I was left all alone but then the doctor and nurses informed me that a good Samaritan had cleared all my bills and also provided the antidote to my throat.

I insisted on knowing whom this person was but he or she insisted on remaining anonymous. A foolish part of me wished it would be Hank that had realized that I was innocent in whatever happened to his family.

So was my mum. I mean why was his father stalking her and why would his mother just kill herself?

What was going on? I wish she was alive so I could ask her what all these was about.

On the day I was discharged, I stopped by the racing field to have a little bit of excitement, hoping it would help soothe my pain a bit.

It would have worked, if I didn't feel a deep gaze burning into my back again, with goosebumps all over my arms.

I decided to leave the place immediately. Weird emotions or should I say feelings that I couldn't place my hands on were erupting in me.

With the little change I got from one of the nurses, I hired a cab to my family mansion. I tried to walk in when;

"You are not allowed inside, ma'am." One of the securities blocked my way and I widened my eyes in surprise at him.

"What? Why?" I asked and he shrugged.

"I don't know. Perhaps you should ask boss himself, he gave us an order to never let you in again." The security guard revealed and I gasped.

"Impossible. My father would never do such." I shook my head sideways, refusing to believe him because even though my father and I never got along, he would still never abandon me.

"Are you sure Julia didn't give you this order." I frowned, knowing the bitch can go through any lengths to stop me from telling my father about her cheating ass.

"No miss. Mr. Lannister gave us the order." The guard insisted and I bit my lower lips.

"Can you call him out for me? I misplaced my phone." Due to the many favors I had rendered to the guard before, he agreed to do so for me.

"Father." I called immediately as he came out but the look of disgust I saw in his black eyes made my heart tighten in pain.

"What are you doing here, Aqua?" My father folded an arm across his chest, preventing the guard from still opening the gate for me.

"I don't understand. This is our house and I am your daughter." I replied, chuckling like he asked a funny question.

Well he did.

"You are no daughter of mine. The only daughter I had, you killed due to your malicious acts." My father accused and I froze.

What was he talking about?

"I don't understand." I told him and he scoffed.

"As expected. Okay then, let me remind you." He began and I paid serious attention to him.

"Why did you cause Julia, who was carrying my heir in her stomach a miscarriage?" He questioned and the air around suddenly turn suffocating.

"Why did I what?" I half-yelled, stunned at this wild accusation.

I was the one that had a miscarriage because of her and not the other way round.

"Don't pretend, you whore." My dad yelled and I jolted, my eyes getting teary.

Did my father just inslut me?

"Isn't that why you pushed Julia down the stairs? Because she caught you cheating on your mate, Hank with a Biker?" Dad continued his accusations as the tears rolled down my cheeks.

How could he believe all these without hearing my own side of the story?

I was the one that was cheated on, I was the one who lost a baby.

"Those are all lies dad and what your new wife did to me." I screamed, allowing the pain to flow through me.

How dare they try to turn the situation around on me?

"Julia slept with my mate, cheated on you. If anything, you should be shouting at her, throwing her out and not me." I yelled and all colors drained out of his face.

There was silence for awhile and I thought he was finally starting to listen, only for him to laugh, shaking his head sideways as he wrinkled his nose at me with irritation.

"You are a total disgrace. Julia warned me that you would try to turn the story around. Do you know where I picked her up from?" Dad huffed.

"From the hospital. If not for Hank saving her, she would have died alongside my child that you killed." Dad glared at me with so much hate  that I couldn't even bear to look at his face anymore.

"Get out of here Aqua and never return. You are no daughter of mine, I disown you." Dad told me.

It felt like I had been punched in the guts as I watched him go back inside the house without sparing a glance, despite how much I called out for him or begged him.

The securities threw me out and I ended up in the streets.

This was all my fault. After mum's death, I shouldn't have accommodated that snake, Julia into our home.

But I didn't want my father to be sad even though it was wrong for him to marry a girl old enough to be his daughter, a girl that was only few years younger than me.

To think Hank planted her around my family.

A week passed and I was reduced to a begger. Life wasn't easy until I saw.....
