The huge door separated me from the outside world, leaving me locked up in this cold dark cell room. But I had to get down, it was the first step that I had to conquer if I wanted to make it to Damon before my father attacked.I paced around the room, thinking of a way to get out of here, the windows were off limits as I was at the very top of the tower, there was no other way to escape than through the door. But how was I going to convince the guard outside my door to let me out? I slammed my fist against the wall when I couldn't think of anything. An idea popped in my head.I stepped back from the door and faced the wall opposite it before I knelt down, covering my face with my hands."Help! Help me please! There's something in here!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, still feeling pain in my throat from all the shouting.I heard the guard panic before peeping through the hole, his heart thumping loudly in his chest."What's wrong?" He asked worriedly and I faked a cry and my words.
"We can't leave, Selene." Lucy said and she glanced around nervously."We have to. Or else, we would die here. I have to warn Damon that my father's coming, he can kill him." "But would he believe you? I heard he sent you away from his pack." Lucy asked, rubbing her arms, as a cold breeze swept through."I have to try, or else, I'll never forgive myself. I'll regret it and it's betrayal once more." I said as I looked at the men outside, my father barked an order to rasca as I saw him nod before leaving."Selene, your father isn't who you think he is anymore. He plans to destroy the green moss Pack, he's cruel now, he killed a wolf who mistakenly stepped on him. He's not who he was before you left, and if you leave now, I'm sure he'll kill you." Lucy said worriedly, and I smiled sadly."I'd rather die than sit here and do nothing. I have to try. Damon is in danger and his pack too. For the first time Lucy, I felt accepted and loved. Guess what, I've shifted too. I've met my wolf." I
Damon's POV.It was the second day of the council meeting and I was already frustrated about it. The pack had been divided into two. Those who still wanted me to remain Alpha and those who didn't. There was no time for this, I understood that they didn't trust me as much as they did before Selene's betrayal. But this issue could be settled after the war that I could feel at the back of my neck.Selene's father, Alpha of the west crescent pack was planning something, he had gotten the blueprint of our pack no doubt and was going to attack any minute. But instead of preparing for war, the council was deciding whether I was still fit to be Alpha. This was delusional and there was no way I could stop the hearing. Once the council gathered like this, it was hard to convince them otherwise.I took in a deep breath as I pulled open the doors to the court and everyone rose to their feet as I stepped in and silence filled the room."The council presents the Alpha of green moss pack, Damon

Thank you.Selene's PovWhen the border guards of the green moss pack grabbed me and Lucy the moment we stepped in, I thought they would take us to the pack house. At first, I had expected Damon to be the one who would come to the border after inhaling my scent, but instead, it had been the guards I wasn't familiar with. I had thought perhaps, he just didn't want to see me or deal with me directly. But nothing prepared me to see that Damon was in a court and from the setting, he was being rebuked by the councils.Meeting him had awakened some memories that I had tried to bury inside of me, it stirred up emotions and those oceanic blue eyes I had daydreamed of were right in front of me. I could feel a string between us as soon as our eyes made contact.I wanted to run and grab onto him, hug him and apologize for everything I had
Damon stepped out of the cubicle he had been placed in and walked towards me. My smile of pride fell as he neared closer to me. My heart thumps loudly inside of me as my hand grew sweaty all of a sudden, like I was nervous. My mind wandered to different thoughts. What was he going to do to me? Was he going to drag me off to the border once more? Was he going to send me back to my father's pack?I didn't know what to do so I just stood there as he drew closer to me, there was a frown on his face and his eyes held no emotions.Worst of it all was that the thread that was joining us together wasn't strong enough for me to really understand the emotions he was feeling at this moment.I didn't know if he was angry at me or if he was happy to see me or if he just wanted me to leave. Whatever he made up his mind to do, I was going to accept because I knew I had hurt him in ways he hadn't even imagined. But I couldn't deny that a part of me was happy to see him, to see those oceanic blue
In less than twenty minutes, everyone was gathered at the clearing. And all the teenagers were in their training outfits. The warriors also were in their fighting gears and there was an aura of dominance that filled the air.Despite the fierce looks on everyone's faces, I could still see the fear that brewed inside of them. My father's pack was known for their brutality and it was scary that they would have to face them."Ok listen everyone. In less than an hour, the west crescent pack would try to break into our pack, this is a war that we've tried to avoid because of the few warriors we have."Damon started to say as his voice echoed through the atmosphere and everyone turned to him in anticipation and respect. From the corner of my eyes, I saw his parents standing at the left with Jane and Jeremy who I had waved at earlier. Christian nodded at me and I smiled. I knew it would take a while before his trust for me grew but I was ready to wait for as long as he needed.Noir stood
Selene's POV."How many warriors in total do you think your father has?"Christian asked Lucy and I exchanged looks as we thought of how many men in total my father would have."Fifty!!." We both said in unison and Damon nodded. "Ok good." Damon said as the sound of the teenagers coming back echoed as we turn to their direction as they once more filled the clearing. All their eyes were shining with anticipation as they watched us and waited for an order."How many teens do we have?" Damon asked Christian as he stepped forward."Forty Nine. Alpha and we have Thirty Eight warriors except me, and you." Christian said and Damon nodded before going silent once more.I saw Christian run to the teens and help them adjust the bag of arrows at their backs as he explained to them how to use the grenades."Christian, I want you to handpick the wolves who are good enough for combat and with the arrows. And those who are still training should be in a group." Christian started to separate the te
Damon's POV.I heard Selene yelling my name behind me as I continued running to the borders. I didn't have the time to look back at her, nor did I have the time or hard heart to let her come with me.It was going to be a bloody yet dangerous war and I didn't want her to watch me kill her father. Because no matter how much she hated him for all the abuse he had inflicted on her, she was still his daughter and it would hurt to see him die by my hands.I was grateful Noir had been there to take her away and as she yelled my name, I only felt more determination to end this war quickly and have her back in my arms.I was happy that I had told her how much I loved her and gave her the necklace I got her.Just in case I didn't make it back alive she was going to know I had forgiven her and I've always loved her.I sighed, as I looked up at the moon shining so bright above us in it's half form. I made a silent prayer to the moon goddess to protect the pack and give us victory. If there was
