Danika’s P.O.V.

Jonah waited patiently while I silently cried.

The phrase “women are created from water” resonated deeply with me at this point — even after crying so much, my tears still wouldn’t stop flowing.

But I promised myself that today would be the last time I would shed a tear for anyone.

Hand in hand, we slowly walked out of the council grounds and deep into the woods. I hadn’t walked past five trees when I heard Dad’s voice.

It was raw, filled with emotions of sadness and regret.

“Danika, please don’t leave,” he pleaded, and I stopped walking.

“Please, come back to me,” he sobbed brokenly, like he had lost everything.

But no — he hadn’t.

In fact, he still had Eleanor.

A little farther, and I was breathlessly ga

Danika’s P.O.V I don’t know about him, but I’d find every bit of it special. The fact that I would be attending this annual ceremony had already made it special, and I couldn’t wait for the day to arrive. I flipped our hands so that mine was at the top of his, giving him a gentle squeeze before taking another bite from the meat. About what we were doing today — I thought for a while. What would I do that could involve both of us? Yes — my wolf. The doctor had advised me to exercise my wolf at least two or three times a week before coming back for a checkup. “So how about we train together?” I suggested. His lips curved up in a smirk before he nodded in acquiescence. “Good idea… so I can sexually beat you to a pulp.” I knew I wasn’t going to be able to land a blow on his wolf, but I still wanted to give it a try. Just trying it out with him felt exhilarating, but I

Danika’s P.O.V “You seem to forget something too — that I own you just as much as you own me. We own each other. So there should not be any sort of privacy between us.” Everything was close — him, his scent, his lips — that had me shifting from feet to feet to keep my thighs closed. My walls dripped and slicked. If he as much as sniffed out the scent of my arousal, a shiver racked up my spine at the thought of what would happen. “Just shut up, Jonah,” I said, clamping his mouth. “Wash up and stop touching my body.” He sighed, raising his hands in resignation. “Fine, I’ll stop teasing you so you don’t drip and blame it on me.” He finally reached out for the mouthwash, squeezing some into his toothbrush before shoving it into his mouth. Together, we brushed — bickering and sniveling at every word. One thing led to another, and the bickering somehow turned into a kiss — and a k

Danika’s P O.V “What do you think you’re doing?” I asked as I harmlessly glowered at Jonah. His hands were beginning to wander, and his hard-on was already pressing against the flesh of my thighs. We just finished a lovemaking session, and he already wanted to start another. I was already shuffling off the bed as I threw the words at him. “You’re just so pretty that I can’t help myself. You’re sexy. In fact,” he shamelessly stated. My legs ached from yesterday’s onslaught, and yet I could tell his eyes chased me as I walked out of the bedroom. And I was proved right when I heard him shuffling off the bed as well. I made my way into the bathroom, and I could still hear his footsteps as they mirrored mine. He was following me into the bathroom. Silly Jonah. How could I allow him easy access when I could actually make fun out of this situation? Unaware of my wick

Darius’s P.O.V “I am your mate and Alpha. So when I give out orders, you take them.” She shrunk back into herself. The spark that was gradually showing in her eyes dimmed instantly as she became scared all over again and nodded pitifully before turning around and starting to walk ahead. Her actions stung me hard, painfully, and I sighed. She had made me do it again—made me shout at her—and Cyda whimpered in my chest like I had scolded him as well. All through the absence of this woman, during the two days that she had been admitted, Cyda had been restless, growling and snarling under my stomach and refusing to sit still. And when he met her—finally sniffing her scent—he had relaxed instantly. Unlike me, who found happiness in her pains and tears, Cyda wanted nothing of that sort. He wanted to protect her, to keep her safe, to make her happy, to see her smile. All those emotions—anger, impa

Darius’s P O V I eased off, looking at her with a dangerous warning in my eyes. “And if you dare to pull the stunt of killing yourself, I would make senseless love to you as punishment — that you would beg the Goddess to take your life.” Her eyes widened in shock, pupils dilating as her face paled. She clutched the sheets, knuckles white with tension. A tremor ran through her body, and she turned her head away, refusing to meet my gaze. Her chest heaved with shallow breaths, and I could see as she struggled to contain her emotions. Her lips parted as if to talk, but no words came out — just a faint, desperate gasp. She closed her eyes shut as my hands reached for her face, flinching as she did so. She must have seen me as a monster — a monster that had hit her. But her eyes snapped open when my hands massaged her cheeks, looking at me with eyes that held surprise. “Don’t make me angry, Ele

Darius’s P.O.V My eyes searched the room for her until they found hers. It was as usual — green, vibrant, and now filled with a little life. But that was until they met mine. Those eyes that were vibrant dimmed immediately they found mine. The omega’s body tensed, fingers gripping the sheets like her lifeline — like they were going to save her. Her breathing grew rapid and shallow, eyes wide and darting as if looking for an escape. Her actions irked me. They made my blood boil in an unimaginable way. But instead of turning around to leave, what did I do? I stupidly took a step forward instead, like I was under some sort of spell. She shrank back against the pillows with as many steps as I took forward. Her face widened with immense fear. Her actions, however, hammered painfully against my chest — each flinch, each tremor, a reminder of the fear she harbor
