Viene’s POV

Nolan hadn’t fully recovered from the night before. He moved slower than usual at breakfast, quieter, and I caught myself watching him more than I wanted to, waiting for some sign of what exactly the mark had taken from him this time.

“You’re staring,” Nolan said, without looking up from his cup.

“I’m checking.”

“I’m fine.”

“You said that last night too.”

“It was true then. It’s true now.”

I didn’t believe him, but I let it go, because pushing felt cruel when he’d already gi

  • Rejected by My Mate, Claimed by the Triplet Alphas     Chapter 50: You’re Repeating It

Viene’s POV Nobody slept. Nobody tried to pretend otherwise this time. By the time the sky started lightening outside the study windows, all four of us had ended up back at the stairwell without discussing it, drawn down toward the lower level like the conversation from hours ago hadn’t actually finished, just paused. The chamber felt different before we even reached it. I felt it in the mark first, a low hum starting somewhere under my collarbone, all six lines answering something none of us had said out loud yet. “It knows we’re coming,” I said. “I feel it too,” Nolan said quietly, and Nathan’s mouth was set tight enough that I knew he did as well, whatever thread of the resonance still lingered between us carrying it to him even without words. We stepped into the chamber, and the black seam along the far wall was already pulsing, faster than I’d ever seen it, not waiting for me to call out this time. The whole floor trembled. Not violently. Not an earthquake, not a collapse

  • Rejected by My Mate, Claimed by the Triplet Alphas    Chapter 49: Who Remembers

Viene’s POV I didn’t wait for morning this time. I found Neil still in the study, exactly where he’d been all night, and sat down across from him without a word of preamble. “I want the previous cycle,” I said. “All of it. Whatever you actually have, not another piece at a time.” “Viene—” “No more fragments, Neil. You told me tonight that this is progression. That means I don’t have time for you to decide what I’m ready to hear.” He looked at me a long moment, and something in his face told me he’d already been expecting this conversation, maybe for weeks. “I’ll give you what the records prove,” he said. “Not what I guess. I need you to understand the difference, because some of what I know isn’t proof. It’s inference, and I won’t dress inference up as fact for you.” “Fine. Start with the proof.” He opened the folder he’d shown all of us hours earlier and turned it toward me. “There was another woman. Before Serah, possibly, or possibly Serah herself under an older cycle — t

  • Rejected by My Mate, Claimed by the Triplet Alphas    Chapter 48: Chosen Stillness

Viene’s POV Nobody slept after the resonance. We sat in the study long after midnight, the four of us scattered around the room in a silence none of us seemed willing to break, and I could still feel all three of them faintly, threads instead of a flood now, but not gone. I could have gone to any of them. That was the strange part, sitting there in the aftermath — the pull toward Nathan’s steadiness, toward Neil’s careful mind, toward Nolan’s warmth, all three still humming under my skin, none of them louder than the others, none of them demanding. For the first time since this began, it felt like an actual choice instead of a pull I couldn’t resist. Nobody told me where to go. Nobody called my name or reached for my hand or gave me a reason. I just stood up, crossed the room, and sat down beside Nolan on the low bench near the window, close enough that our shoulders touched. He didn’t say anything. He didn’t need to. He just shifted slightly to make room, and let me lean into h

  • Rejected by My Mate, Claimed by the Triplet Alphas    Chapter 47: Shared Resonance

Viene’s POV The pulse hit again before anyone could move, stronger this time, and the room around me stopped feeling like a room at all. I felt Nathan’s fear first. Not my own — his, sharp and specific, a fear shaped like watching someone die and being unable to stop it, old and worn smooth from being carried a long time. It wasn’t mine. I knew that way you know a borrowed coat isn’t yours, even wrapped around your shoulders. Then Neil’s memory. Not a feeling this time — an actual fragment, gone before I could hold it, something about a locked door and a name he’d been told never to say out loud. It moved through me and was gone, leaving only the ache where it had been. Then Nolan. His desire, plain and unguarded, no fear wrapped around it this time, just wanting, steady and warm, aimed entirely at me. All three at once. No separation between them. No sense of whose feeling belonged to whom, just a single flood moving through me with three different currents tangled so completel

  • Rejected by My Mate, Claimed by the Triplet Alphas    Chapter 46: No Isolation Plans

Viene’s POV The arguing started before breakfast and hadn’t stopped by noon. “Isolate Nolan,” Nathan said, for the third time. “If choice is the trigger and he’s the strongest pull, distance is the only lever we haven’t fully tested.” “We tested it,” Nolan said. “Chapter thirty-eight. It nearly killed her.” “That was forced distance during an active crisis. This would be controlled, gradual—” “You want to gradually starve the bond you just admitted might be the only thing keeping her stable.” Neil didn’t look up from his notes. “That’s not a plan. That’s a slower version of the same mistake.” “Then what’s your plan,” Nathan snapped. “Keep feeding her more Vault sessions until the sixth line becomes a seventh?” “My plan is stopping the memory work. Full suspension. If emotional surrender is the trigger, and the Vault keeps handing her identity fragments that make surrender more likely, we cut that off first.” “You’ve been saying for weeks that stopping the Vault work loses us

  • Rejected by My Mate, Claimed by the Triplet Alphas    Chapter 45: Proof of Collapse Pattern

Viene’s POV Neil called all of us to the study before dawn, which told me whatever he’d found hadn’t waited for morning to matter. “I found records,” he said, no preamble, folders stacked in front of him instead of just one. “Not legends. Not theory. Documentation. Multiple cases, going back further than the three cycles I already told you about.” Nathan sat across from him, arms crossed. “Cases of what?” “Multi-bond Lock formation. What’s happening to Viene isn’t unprecedented. It’s rare, and it’s been buried, but it’s happened before, more than once, and every single time it followed the same shape.” “What shape,” I asked. Neil opened the first folder and turned it so we could all see the diagram inside — a woman’s figure, lines radiating outward, numbered stages beside each one. “Multiple attachments form. The lines strengthen with contact, same as we’ve documented. Eventually they begin converging, same as your fourth and fifth lines. The structure reorganizes into somethin
