16- Million Dollar Question

Rayna Bennette

My eyes fluttered open, and I was greeted by the first glow of morning light entering the room through the curtains.

A contented sigh escaped my lips when I stretched under the warmth of the covers. Last night’s painful tingles were no more there, and last night also brought the memories of …

“Where is Alex?” Asking myself I sat up straight. He wasn’t there beside me.

I felt disappointment making its way into my heart. Did he leave me alone like this?

That raw timber smell was still lingering on his pillow and the sheets. I started getting up to leave the room, as I needed to use the Omega bathroom when a small note on the nightstand caught my eye.

“Use my bathroom, Sapphire eyes. And don’t you dare have breakfast without me.” I smiled at the note and picked it up. His handwriting was smooth, and it matched his personality.

Perfection!

But then my smile vanished. If he didn’t want to take me as his chosen mate, then why these breakfasts and bathroom sharing?
