Quinn:

There was a type of attraction I felt toward Alpha Nox and somehow, I was beginning to see him in a new light. He wasn't the same person I met back at my old pack.

At first, he was crude with his words and emotionally distant. I had always felt he was a monster and killed without reason. But seeing the number of people surrounding him and how big their smiles were, my thoughts changed. He wasn't all that bad. He had people who cared about him.

I could feel Stella's cold stare on me and I couldn't help but look away. Her aura was intimidating. I could never compete with that.

"Hey, you're not eating." I felt the Alpha's large palm cup mine.

"I'm not all that hungry." I shyly replied and wriggled my palm out of his. It was a good thing Stella hadn't noticed.

"Do you want me to feed you?" He whispered and I quickly shook my head, debunking the idea. I picked up my spoon and scooped in some food, hurriedly taking it to my mouth. It was then I heard him chuckle lightly.
