QUINN:

Seeing Anna seated beside Alpha Jackson made me almost throw up. I was disgusted by her mere presence, after seeing her act with one of the guests. I swore never to let that slide. The alpha must know what he was getting into.

Immediately after the wedding ceremony and reception, we were tasked with cleaning the entire yard. In the course of doing that, we were asked to leave our positions and report to the alpha. Maybe he saw the act too and wanted to annul the wedding vows.

Anxiously, I went with the other maids and was asked to stand before the alpha and some strange guests. Amid the strange people was the man I had seen earlier. He looked pissed but I didn't care. I was going to expose him and his accomplice. By the way, who was he to sit with the alpha?

"Who did it?" Alpha Jackson asked. I was confused. He looked angry but it wasn't directed to his cheating wife and the strange man but it was directed at us. What did we do wrong? I looked at each of the girls but nobody seemed to understand what was going on.

Jackson stood up furiously and got closer to us.

"I asked a question and I will not entertain silence. I ask again, who did it?"

Again, there was confusion. Who did what?

"Who did what? We don't understand, alpha Jackson." I intervened because nobody was ready to answer something they didn't know about.

"Why are you pretending, little girl?" The man's deep voice filled my ears. I turned to look at him but he was already up and approaching me. I shifted back a little, trying to piece together what was going on.

"You slapped the Lycan king?" Alpha Jackson asked. He looked somewhat disappointed in me.

"Why don't you ask him what he did?" I fired, facing the man. I didn't know he was the Lycan king but that didn't make what he did right.

"What did I do?" He asked daringly. I looked unbelievably at him as he tried to deny my claims. His eyes turned golden yellow, as though daring me to speak up. His aura sent chills down my spine and for some time, I lost my voice. He seemed so dangerous. I felt if he looked at me for another minute, I would drop dead.

"He and the Luna... They..." I stammered. All his looks were telling was 'Say anything and I will kill you instantly'.

"They what, Quinn? Just because they were laughing and talking doesn't mean a thing. They're cousins. Why did you go as far as hitting him?"

I knew Jackson wouldn't believe me. I had no evidence. Now, I had to take the blame for something I wanted to correct.

"I'm sorry, alpha Jackson. I didn't know who he was at that time. Please, forgive me." I bowed a little. I could see the Luna's victorious smile. I glared at her angrily but there was nothing I could do.

"Forgive you?" The lycan king chuckled deeply. Everywhere was silent and his laugh echoed.

"I do not forgive, little girl." In a split second, he had become very serious and his voice deeper than before.

"Until you die in my presence, I will never be at peace." He growled.

"Alpha, that is going too far. Her crime is not worthy of death." Alpha Jackson intervened.

"Are you questioning my authority, alpha Jackson?"

The room was beginning to get quite tensed up. And it was all because of my mistake. I was just so mad that the Luna would think of committing such action against the alpha. I didn't mean for things to escalate like this.

"No, alpha. I am not challenging your authority. Let's just think this through so we don't make mistakes." Jackson pleaded. The lycan king seemed like an unreasonable man and might stop at nothing until I was wiped off from this earth. He was a lunatic and I hated him.

"Fine then. Let's talk better later tonight and we will decide what to do with her."

"Leave." Alpha Jackson growled and we all left immediately. I was dismissed from my job with no pay after stressing myself the whole day attending to people. Well, it was what I deserved for jumping to conclusions without thinking of the consequences.

And the hell were those two cousins? Was that the lie they told everyone or do cousins now sleep with each other? Either way, disgust washed through me. I couldn't sleep. The scene kept appearing in my mind. It was my first time witnessing such an event. I just wished I had my phone with me. They would have explained why cousins would be in that position.

Early the next morning, I was summoned back to the pack house. This time, my father and step-sister were there. Alpha Jackson wore a look, though not of disappointment. I just couldn't tell what it was. We all watched as the lycan king descended the stairs in his morning outfit of a tight polo and sweatpants. I could already see Anna salivating while still clinging to Jackson. She was such a whore.

"We've finally decided what your punishment would be, Quinn." Alpha Jackson addressed me.

"What you did was a grave action. Jumping in conclusion and resorting to violence isn't the best way to handle matters."

"What he's trying to say is, you're no longer going to die," Anna spoke.

I heaved a sigh of relief, the same as my dad.

"We decided that you will serve a ten-year punishment as his helper."

"What?" I exclaimed as I stood up from where I sat.

"Don't make matters worse, Quinn. Just sit down and listen." Alpha Jackson said softly.

"No! I would rather die than live with him." I fired, not looking at the lycan king directly. In a split second, he grabbed my hair forcefully while staring into my eyes.

"Sit!" He commanded and I reluctantly obeyed.

"You brought this upon yourself, Quinn. Now, you have to follow it to the end." My father said. Wasn't he going to ask me what happened? Did he believe I would slap somebody just because they were talking and laughing?

"I'll be waiting for you. Do not keep me waiting for more than five minutes." He grunted and walked out. My world was beginning to crumble right before my eyes.

There was no escaping this fate. I have to live ten years with that monster. Who knows what he'd do to me?

"Don't worry, Quinn. I'll talk to him to reduce the number of years, alright? Just try to do whatever he asks you to do without complaint. Do so and you might just be free as early as possible." Alpha Jackson advised. I nodded slowly while waiting for any more words from my dad. He looked at me and smiled.

"It could have been anybody but you, my dear." He embraced me warmly. I was close to tears but I wasn't ready to show my weakness.

"I'm sorry Dad, I disappointed you and the family."

"No, you did what you felt was right. You were only looking out for the alpha and I appreciate your kindness. Be safe." He kissed my forehead and escorted me outside.

"Please, take care of my daughter." He pleaded with the lycan king but the vile man only ignored him.

"Don't worry, dad. I'll be fine." I told him. I boarded the car and waved goodbye to my family. I looked at Alpha Jackson and smiled weakly. He didn't deserve what was happening to him.

I turned to the lycan king but he was on his phone. That reminded me that I didn't remember to bring mine. Hell, I didn't take anything with me.

"I understand you're the alpha's fated mate and that was why he didn't want you to be killed. Nice guy..." It felt as though he was mocking the alpha.

"What you should know is that I am not going to take care of you or anybody else in any way. Never have and never will. And if I have to f**k the brains out of you when I need to, I will."

I shrank in my seat.

"Besides, you belong to me now." A sly smile crossed his lips.

Quinn: There was a type of attraction I felt toward Alpha Nox and somehow, I was beginning to see him in a new light. He wasn't the same person I met back at my old pack. At first, he was crude with his words and emotionally distant. I had always felt he was a monster and killed without reason. But seeing the number of people surrounding him and how big their smiles were, my thoughts changed. He wasn't all that bad. He had people who cared about him. I could feel Stella's cold stare on me and I couldn't help but look away. Her aura was intimidating. I could never compete with that. "Hey, you're not eating." I felt the Alpha's large palm cup mine. "I'm not all that hungry." I shyly replied and wriggled my palm out of his. It was a good thing Stella hadn't noticed. "Do you want me to feed you?" He whispered and I quickly shook my head, debunking the idea. I picked up my spoon and scooped in some food, hurriedly taking it to my mouth. It was then I heard him chuckle lightly. Whe

Nox: Despite the constant reassurance I gave Quinn that I wouldn't touch her, she sneaked out of the bed after I had fallen asleep and slept on the couch. "This girl..." I mused a smile as I watched her snore lightly before covering her with a blanket. I couldn't let her sleep alone in her room. To anyone, it would seem like I was being overprotective but I knew Landon better than anyone else. He was vicious and ruthless in his dealings with people. I had seen firsthand how he killed an innocent man because he thought the guy was harassing his ex-mate. I couldn't risk leaving Quinn alone, not even for a second. Landon was an opportunist —waiting to devour his prey at the slightest distraction they encountered. He had made his intention known. Now, it was my job to protect Quinn. .After a cold bath, I came out of the bathroom, clad in only a pair of sweatpants, and a towel over my face. My hair was still wet and the water strolled down my shoulder. What I wasn't expecting, after

Nox: Mate? He was not being serious, was he? She could never be mated to him. My mind was thrown into chaos at that very moment. Orion had a faint mate pull toward her days back and now, Landon was trying to claim her as his. She wasn't supposed to be mated to two, right? When he shifted a bit, I could see that she was asleep and had no idea what was going on around her. Landon was staring into her face with a lunatic smile, like he could disappear with her that minute. My wolf shivered in anger, watching how his hands roamed Quinn's legs. I couldn't hold back the ting of possessiveness I felt. "Landon!" I thundered, causing Quinn to stir up abruptly from her sleep. She looked at me, frightened, and then at Landon. I watched how her chest rose up and down. Maybe I shouldn't have shouted like that. When she saw his hands on her thighs, she pushed them away and scurried away from him. Landon charged toward her, trying to grab her hand but I found myself standing between two of t

Nox: My mind raced when I heard Stella was injured. I dashed out, not caring if someone was in front of me or behind me. I didn't act that way because I liked her, it was because of the pact that I made with her father. I promised him that I would never let anything happen to his daughter as she was part of the warriors he lent to me. Breaking that pact would mean war and goddess knows I already had my hands full. "She's bleeding profusely and the wounds aren't healing," Jenson said, trying to catch up with me. "What do you mean by she's not healing?" I opened the front door, meeting something rather unusual emerging from one part of the forest. "What is that?" "We're still trying to find out what it is. The wounds from its claws don't heal and we've already lost a few warriors." His closing statement was said with remorse. Orion was fuming inside of me. We had gone through so much trying to rebuild this pack from the ashes it once was and one devil was trying to bring it down.

Quinn: I gulped down nothing and clasped my knees together, trying to contain the tingling feeling I got down there. "What's the deal with your wolf?" He nodded at me. "I don't know..." My voice came out as feeble as a whisper. I felt uncomfortable and wanted badly to put on some clothes. "I like her. She's feisty. My type of girl." He commented and turned toward his desk. I was about to remind him about the locked door when there was an abrupt bang on the door. I flinched and stepped away. "This had better be good." The alpha groaned and unlocked the door while I shifted farther. It was Jenson. "Stella..." He remarked breathlessly. "She's critically injured." He announced. Before I could blink, the alpha was nowhere to be found. I felt my heart leap, he ran that fast just because he heard she was injured. Would he run that way if I was injured? I held onto the top of the T-shirt I was wearing. The Alpha was a ruthless man, a beast, a demon, a playboy, and there was no way I co

  • Rejected by an Alpha, Desired by a Lycan   Chapter 20

Quinn: "Stella, you're the team leader for patrol today," Blake announced, holding a small piece of paper in his hand. He hadn't been easy on me when it came to training but Jace and Jenson were there to make it easier. It always felt as though I was mated to two. I shivered at the thought of that. I wasn't an advocate of harems or anything that involved sharing feelings. I would want myself for just my mate. No third wheel."Stella, pick your team and include Quinn in it." He commanded and walked away. Her face turned sour when she heard my name. I knew she never wanted anything to do with me, especially when I flouted her orders to stay away from my room. She hated seeing me happy and comfortable. I was nervous about shifting into my wolf form. I had never shifted in front of anyone except Dad. I got a very weird reaction from him and never did it again. I never went out for pack training, pack runs, or patrol in my former pack. To make matters worse, the alpha showed up, lookin
