EMILY

I woke up and found myself lying in a soft bed, surrounded by unfamiliar surroundings. The room was tastefully decorated with warm hues and plush furniture, exuding an air of luxury and comfort. The scent of lavender filled the air, calming my senses and soothing my troubled mind.

As I sat up. My head spun with residual fatigue, and memories of the previous night flooded back. The rejection, the pain, and then being carried by the alpha king. It was all still fresh in my mind, though a part of me wondered if it had all been a dream it felt like all this happened a few minutes ago.

I glanced around, searching for any signs of the Alpha king’s presence, but the room appeared to be empty. Still feeling weak, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and slowly rose to my feet. I winced as a dull ache resonated through my body, a reminder of my physical exhaustion.

The door creaked open, and a woman with silver-gray hair entered the room.

“Hi dear hope you feel better?” she said as she offered me a glass of water and dropped some clothes on the bed.

“I’m good but Where am I?" I managed to ask, my voice weak and raspy as I collected the glass from her.”

"You're in the Alpha King's palace," The woman replied. "He found you unconscious at the edge of the pack's territory and brought you here. You've been asleep for almost a day now. He asked me to cater for you and make sure you’re fed and feeling better”

“Oh….. thank you, “ I replied not knowing what to say about my mate who rejected me suddenly caring about my well-being.

“Your welcome dear, drink the water you need,” She said as she brought out some towels from the wardrobe in front of me.

Shocked by how I drank a full glass of water in less than a minute, I dropped the cup as I asked if I could use the bathroom.

“Yes dear, you can just take the clothes and towel and freshen up while l get your food ready, just go to the bathroom over there they should be soap there for you to use”. She replied to my question smiling as she offered me the towels and clothes and pointed out the bathroom to me.

“Ok thank you very much,” I replied as I collected the towels, no one has ever been this kind to me before or even smiled at me the way she does.

I step into the bathroom, feeling a sense of awe wash over me. The air is filled with a delicate aroma, and a hint of lavender, and the bathroom smelt just like mate as if it were designed to soothe the senses. My eyes immediately gravitate towards the expansive marble flooring, each tile gleaming under the warm, gentle glow of the crystal chandelier hanging above.

As I make my way further into the bathroom, my gaze is drawn toward the centerpiece of this luxurious oasis—a grand, freestanding bathtub positioned near a floor-to-ceiling window. The natural light cascades in, casting a soft glow upon the white, velvety towels meticulously arranged on a nearby towel rack. The design of the bathroom was unique and the materials used were something I’ve never seen before even in my old pack.

My eyes wander towards the mirrored wall above the double vanity and saw I was wearing a man’s clothes, my mate's clothes, I turned crimson red as I thought of him dressing but suddenly remembering the marks all over my body I just hope he wasn’t disgusted. I gently removed the clothes and placed them inside the basket beside the vanity.

Remembering what the old lady said I pondered on what the future held for me, would my mate accept me back or would he ask me to leave? No matter what, I was determined to leave, It’s about time I know myself, and try to see if I can know where my parents are from but without a knowledge of who they are It Is going to be so hard.

As I stepped under the shower I adjusted the water temperature and let the water fall on me, closing my eyes flashback of the rejection played in my head. I cried my heart out letting the water wash away my tears and dirt. If only it could also wash my pains away.

After spending so much time in the water, I came out and cleaned myself. After tying another towel to my hair, I wore the gown the woman gave me, it was a little bit big but it was better than being naked. I removed the towel from my hair even though it was still damp it was manageable.

As I walked out of the bathroom I looked around again making sure everything was well organized the same way I met it. I closed it and saw the woman arranging some shoes on the floor.

“Well look who finally came out of the bathroom,” she said as she dropped the last scandal on the floor and stood up.

“Sorry ma’am, I didn’t mean to waste your time,” I replied as I bowed my head down as the submissive spirit came in.

“Is okay dear, you don’t need to be sorry I’m here to serve you besides you needed that bath. Now sit down and let’s fix your hair,” She said while smiling and pushing out the stool in front of the mirror for me to sit.

“Thank you ma’am” I replied as I sat down thinking about how a woman is so kind despite her rank.

“Now what’s your name young lady,” She asked as she brushed my hair while drying it.

“My name is Emily,” I replied with a smile that seemed forced.

“Well Emily my name is Helena, and I must say you’re the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen,” She said as she looked at me through the mirror.

Not knowing what to say as no one as ever called me beautiful before I simply said thank you even though I didn’t believe it.

“If I may ask Emily why are your eyes violet, I believe you’re an Omega,” She said as she packed my hair into a ponytail.

“Yes I’m an omega, I believe I was born with such eye color though I don’t know my parents” I replied as I played with my fingers.

“Oh…… sorry for being so direct with my question dear I was just being a curious old lady.” She said while she dropped the brush on the table.

While admiring my hair in the mirror I smiled at her and said thank you, my hair never looked this good, my hair was well laid into a ponytail something I have never done to my hair before.

As I stood up from the chair she gave me scandals to pick from and I picked the red one since the dress was red and it fits perfectly, After wearing the shoe I looked up at her and saw her smiling. Apart from the old lady being nice, she looked happy and peaceful, something I'd never seen before.

“Well you picked the scandals I thought would suit you best, I guess we have similar taste,” She said as she dropped the tray of food on the side table.

Looking at the meal in front of me I didn’t know what to say, I’d never eaten this much in my old pack. As she dropped it she ushered me to eat.

After eating not a little amount I suddenly felt full but was saved by the door opening. As the door opened a young man came looked at the old lady and went out, guessing they spoke through the mind link.

As he left she looked at me saying when I’m through she would take me to the Alpha King, immediately my heart skipped a beat at the mention of the Alpha King. Memories of our encounter and his rejection flooded back, intensifying the pain within me. I tried to push those thoughts aside and focus on the present.

Marcus’s POVElena.I finally remembered. She was a friend who wanted to be more than one. Besides, she wanted more power which was why she decided to involve in dark magic and not nature's own.“We're almost there,” Alex said, interrupting my thoughts.I had no patience for witches. Their sly smiles and their audacity to act as though they stood above everyone else always rubbed me the wrong way. But tonight, I had no choice. If Elena could help me find Emily, then I would endure her presence, no matter how much it irritated me.Alex trailed silently behind me as we approached the little wood house hidden deep in the woods. Its windows glowed faintly with candlelight, and the air reeked of incense and dried herbs. I clenched my jaw, the piece of Emily’s cloth balled tightly in my fist. The moment I saw that house, anger burned in my chest. It was ridiculous that I had to come to a witch for answers. It should have been my men bringing me news, not this.Elena opened the door before

Marcus’s POV“ What do you know about Emily?” I asked“ I don't understand. Marcus…not today,” she held her hand in my face.“How do you know her?”The question came out sharper than I intended, my voice echoing off the stone walls of the chamber. My chest tightened as I stared at Beth, every muscle in my body tensed for her answer. She leaned back against the edge of the bath like she had nothing to hide, but the flicker of discomfort in her eyes betrayed her.“I don’t know what you mean,” she said lightly, though her smile didn’t reach her eyes.“Don’t lie to me, Beth. I know you're well aware of what I'm talking about,” My tone was low, dangerous. “You said Emily’s name. You knew who I was talking about. How?”She shifted, her body language betraying the confidence she tried to show. “Marcus, relax. I only meant what everyone else has been whispering. You think people don’t talk about the Alpha’s sudden little obsession with that Omega? You’ve made it obvious.”Her words stung, bu

Marcus’s POV“Alpha,” A sharp knock pulled me from the shallow sleep I had slipped into. My eyes quickly opened, the heavy curtains still drowning the room in darkness, though faint lights still found their way into the room.I groaned, pressing the heel of my hand against my forehead. My thoughts had been restless all night, haunting memories circling, refusing to let me rest.“Alpha,” a timid voice broke the silence. “Your bath is ready.”The maid. Her silhouette lingered in the doorway, head bowed, hands clasped nervously in front of her apron. The sight of her was enough to snap the frayed cord of patience inside me.“Leave, I'm not ready,” I growled, my voice harsher than I intended. She flinched, her body shrinking back instantly. I watched her scramble away, nearly tripping over her own feet in her rush to escape the weight of my anger. The door shut softly, leaving me alone again in the stillness of my chambers. But not for long.Another knock came. The door opened before I

The darkness was everywhere, pressing against me from all sides. I was lost, completely and utterly lost, stumbling through the woods on bare feet that were already numb from the cold and pain. The air was so cold and what I had on could barely protect me from the cold. Every instinct I possessed was screaming at me to turn around, to run as fast as my legs could carry me back to safety, but somehow I couldn't stop moving forward. It was as if invisible threads were wrapped around my limbs, tugging me deeper into the forest against my will.My heart hammered against my ribs so hard I thought it might burst right out of my chest. I bent down to remove the grass around my leg when I suddenly felt another presence in front of me, confirming my feeling with the shadow before me I looked up. That's when I saw her, an old woman stood several yards ahead of me, her silhouette barely visible through the mist that curled and twisted between the trees. Her face was completely hidden beneath a
