It's been twenty-four hours now and there was still no sign of Joye. She couldn't be tracked, even the best hunters in the kingdom couldn't catch a whiff of her scent. Something was wrong somewhere, and it was driving me insane. Slowly but surely I was losing my mind, and everybody around me caught on to that fact quickly.

"Calm down Your Majesty, she will be found," Aiden reassured me, but I was too mad to calm down. There was no way he could assure me that they'd find her. Although I could tell that she was still alive, it didn't mean that she was doing alright. It wasn't a kidnapping, some of the guards said they saw her leaving the mansion. And when they offered to follow her as escorts, she turned them down and requested that they return to their duties.

I needed somebody to blame for all this, but no matter how much I searched for a victim, my conscience wouldn't let me get past myself first. I was the guilty one, all this was my fault. If only I hadn't been so worked u
