172. Welcome Back From The Dead

Dorian's POV

I woke up alone in my room to a bitter cold. I looked out my window and saw snow falling freshly and blanketing the pack's ground in a graceful white covering.

I spent the night alone, as April had to go and prepare for today's funeral and pick out a dress. I had a wonderful time with her yesterday. My heart fluttered each time I remembered the kisses I stole and how she giggled. I never thought that I could be this happy.

I sat up and finally had time to think about the fight alone. There was so much that had happened that I hadn't been able to process in April's presence, like the fact that Geras' blood tasted and smelled a bit like Conrad's and how my injuries were able to heal so fast and even bring me back from the dead because I was almost sure that I had kicked the bucket.

I spent unproductive minutes trying to dissect it all, and soon, I finally gave up. I was just happy that this was over. I owed it to my birth father. He would have wanted me to keep the pack saf
