Chapter 37

I woke up in a pink familiar room in my sight. Fear was still eating me as I remembered what happened earlier. Blood. Lots of blood was flowing and people were in a riot. I thought those kinds of scenarios can only be seen in action movies but I witnessed it unexpectedly in live. 

"Hey, oh thanks God you're awake," Celestine spoke on my side. I shifted my view on her and a bandage on her left hand welcomed me. There was a stain of red amidst the white cloth. She was wounded because of me. 

Tears began to fall as I caged her with my arms. The episode is still fresh in my mind of how she covered and dragged me inside the safe area. 

"I-I'm sorry for the g-gunshot. That s-should be me," I mumbled between my sobs. She caressed my hair and held my chin upwards.
