Real Identity

Lany still couldn't believe that Jeric would take her with him to their camp. She already felt excited at the thought that he would introduce her to his parents and the entire members of their pack. Especially when he told her to try to find the answer to her question if she could just choose him as the alpha mated for her.

However, she has a different purpose for why she's doing this, so there is no room for that feeling of excitement in her now. She must focus first on what she needs to do to save her parents and get revenge on Mondrei.

But she can't help but get excited for that upcoming day. Especially for the mating process where she can participate according to Jeric.

But after that conversation, he never mentioned it to her again. That's why she thought that he wasn't really serious about what he told her. He might have just said that because he was thankful to her and to just comfort her.

But she still continued serving the alpha over the days. She still cooks for him and asks him what she can do to help whenever she sees him deep in thought.

And one morning, she was suddenly startled when she heard him calling her name from outside of her room. He also kept knocking on the door, so even though she still looks messy, she hurriedly got up and opened the door for him.

"Good morning, Alpha," Lany greeted immediately as she straightened her hair. "D-Do you need anything?"

"I'm sorry if I disturbed you. I just..." Jeric didn't finish what he was going to say when Lany answered immediately.

"It's okay, Alpha. You're not a disturbance to me," Lany replied while still fixing her hair. "I-I'm sorry if I look like this. I just woke up, actually."

"That's why I already came here when I noticed that you're still inside of your room."

"I'm sorry," Lany replied, and she even bowed her head down after feeling shy on Jeric because she woke up late.

"No, Lany. You don't have to apologize to me. I just want to know if you've already prepared yourself for going to the camp," Jeric continued.

Lany was stunned by what she heard and she could barely open her mouth to respond to the alpha.

"Didn't I mention it to you? It's supposedly now that we're going there. But I think it's better that we go there during noontime. So if you haven't prepared yet, you still have time," Jeric continued when he heard no answer from Lany.

"A-A-Are we going to the camp?" Lany asked, still almost can't believe what she heard.

"The event will be held the next day but we have to go there for the preparation," Jeric explained. "And also, my parents keep bothering me, so we really need to go there and spend the whole week with them. I also need to introduce you to them, since you're not a member of our pack."

"All right, Alpha. I'll get ready now. Thank you very much for telling me."

"Okay, go ahead. Just tell me if you're done," Jeric said and then he turned around. But he looked at her again when he suddenly remembered something. "By the way, don't cook for lunch and we will just join them there."

"How about breakfast?" Lany asked the alpha who was in front of her while smiling.

Jeric thinks first before answering Lany's question.

"I'll just order something so that you won't get bothered. Just do what you need to do," Jeric replied. "So, what do you like for breakfast and I'll just have it delivered here?"

"It-It's up to you, Alpha," Lany replied a little shyly.

Jeric then turned around and walked towards the living room while dialing on his cellphone.

A wide smile suddenly drew on Lany's face when Jeric left and she even jumped for joy. She's not hoping anymore that they would still go to the camp, but he suddenly told her now to prepare.

And the first thing she put inside the bag that Jeric gave her was the make-up and other beauty products given to her by Jeric's housemaids who became her friend in that house.

She doesn't prefer applying some beauty products to her face, but her mother always taught her about it when they're still together. Because according to her mother, beauty is the most effective asset that can be used to achieve those goals in life. Especially with someone like her who is an omega.

So when the full moon comes, during the celebration at Jeric's camp, she has to be exceptionally beautiful. That all the alphas there will look at her and get fascinated by her beauty. And the moment that Jeric looked at her, he would immediately decide not to let her go anymore.

In the middle of her preparation, she heard Jeric's voice again from outside of her room.

"Breakfast is here. Get out of there first and join me."

"All right, Alpha. I'll be there in a moment," Lany answered immediately, and then she stood up and left what she was doing.

And just like before, they were just quiet while eating. Jeric was busy scrolling on his cellphone and Lany was too shy to speak first.

"By the way, Lany, I have to go somewhere after our breakfast. And when I come back, we'll leave right away to go to the camp. Just make sure you're already prepared when I come back," Jeric said seriously.

Lany was slightly surprised by Jeric's sudden speaking. But because he was too serious, she only answered okay.

And right after breakfast, Jeric left quickly and where he was going seemed very important as he didn't say goodbye to Lany anymore.

It was almost eleven A.M. when he returned home and as he had said earlier, they immediately left to go to the camp.

Jeric had nothing else to carry but his car. And even though Lany didn't ask, he still told her the reason why. He used to live at the camp before and he has more personal things there than he has in his house in the city.

Lany wants to ask questions about Jeric’s life as the alpha of their pack, but she was stunned and silenced when she noticed that the road they were heading seemed familiar to her. It seemed that they were heading to the place where they first met and got to know each other.

She even looked at him and wanted to ask, but she hesitated when she noticed his serious face. She then just continued to look around and waited for them to reach their destination.

She was even more surprised when they reached the territory of a pack that's familiar to her, the New Moon Pack. And a few moments later, they entered a wide and high gate guarded by armed men who she thought were strong alpha and beta soldiers.

A few moments later, Jeric stopped his car and a familiar alpha immediately approached them which made her even more surprised.

"It's good that you're here, Alpha Jeric. I always get scolding from your parents," Chadrick said immediately, who was overjoyed at his friend's arrival.

Then he was surprised when he noticed the woman who had also gotten out of the car. He immediately recognized her and he bowed slightly to her as a greeting. Then he turned his gaze to Jeric again.

"You really brought her here," Chadrick whispered after approaching Jeric.

Jeric gave no answer to his friend and he just avoided him. Then he turned his gaze to Lany and invited her.

Although Lany was still very surprised, she just approached Jeric and they started walking while Chadrick was following them.

They entered a gate again, but it was smaller and lower than the first one.

"This is where the Jones family lives, the family who's ruling this camp," Jeric told Lany. "That big house at the end, that's my parents' house."

"Y-You mean, your parents were the ones ruling the New Moon Pack?" Lany asked incredulously.

She heard no answer from Jeric when they noticed two somewhat older ones approaching them who she thought were Jeric's parents.

And in a few moments, they were already in front of them.

"It's good that the leader of the New Moon Pack and the strongest alpha in the world has arrived," a middle-aged man greeted them.

"It's good to see you again, Mr. and Mrs. Jones," Chadrick immediately greeted the couple.

Mrs. Jones just averted her gaze from Chadrick while Mr. Jones did not answer and remained staring at his son.

"Mother, Father, you shouldn't have bothered yourselves coming here to meet me. Look at you getting tired of walking," Jeric said as if scolding his parents.

He then received a slight slap from his mother that landed on his shoulder.

"Is that how you greet your mother who misses you so much?" Mrs. Jones said annoyingly to her son. "We're about to think that you already want to forget about us. That you want to abandon your pack and enjoy your life in the city."

"You know that it's not true, Mother," Jeric immediately replied as he kissed his mother's cheeks.

"Stop it and you won't get me with your tenderness," Mrs. Jones replied and was stunned when she noticed the woman beside her son.

"It-It's Lany," Jeric introduced the omega to his parents when he noticed that his mother looked at her. "And they're my parents, Lany. The very beautiful Rosie Jones and the super handsome Philip Jones."

"Hello, Ma'am, Sir," Lany greeted Jeric's parents a little shyly. She even bowed slightly to them as respect.

"And he's Chadrick Evans. I almost forgot, I haven't introduced you to my friend and second in command of the New Moon Pack," Jeric continued, turning his gaze to Chadrick.

Lany greeted the alpha next to Jeric and so did he. And this time, many questions got inside her mind. Questions for Jeric. And the first thing she wanted to know was, why he only just introduced himself to her now. Why didn't he immediately tell her his true identity the first time they met?

"And what kind of relationship do you have?" Mrs. Jones asked her son after looking at Lany from head to toe.

Lany seemed to shrink down at what Jeric's mother had shown to her. It suddenly sinks into her mind that she's looking down on her even though they haven't known her thoroughly yet.

"I'll tell you later, Mother. It would be better if you let us go to your palace first," Jeric replied to his mother and then they started walking towards the Jones' big house.

Lany was brought to the guest room first and she was instructed to follow Jeric after she got dressed. And Jeric went to his parents' room to talk to them.

"Sh-Shall we not include Lany in our conversation? I guess it would be better if she was also here so that she can also hear what we are going to talk about," Jeric said while smiling at his mother.

But he was startled when he received a strong slap on the shoulder as an answer from his mother.

"Do you really take me as a joke, Jeric? And you actually brought a low-grade omega to annoy me, huh," Mrs. Jones said with annoyance in her voice. "Is this some kind of a protest for the upcoming mating process for you?"

"Of course not, Mother," Jeric replied immediately while holding his shoulder as he felt slight pain due to his mother slapping him.

"So, what's exactly your relationship with that omega you brought here to our camp?" Mr. Jones asked his son.

"She's someone... She's special to me, Father."

Mrs. Jones just sighed in frustration because of what she heard from her son. While Mr. Jones, on the other hand, did not speak and seemed to have heard enough answers from his son.

A few moments later, there was a sudden knock on the door and it was Lany who got inside.

"Sit down, Omega. I have a lot of questions to ask you," Mrs. Jones said in a hard voice while glaring at Lany as she approached Jeric and sat down next to him.

Lany was almost trembling and very nervous because of Mrs. Jones' frightening voice and scary looks at her.

"Before you proceed with those questions, Mother, I want you to know first that I brought Lany here because I want her to go through the mating process. We love each other, but we want to go through the right process," Jeric said seriously and his voice was also hard as if he was determined to say those words in front of his parents.

His parents were surprised as they heard that from him. But the one who was even more surprised was Lany, as she looked at Jeric and she even held her chest due to the sudden acceleration of its beating.
