~TIANA (POV)~

The entire place went dead quiet as everyone’s heads turned towards him. I couldn't see their faces but I was certain shock was etched on them.

Trying to regain his composure a bit, the auctioneer cleared his throat.

"Um....I seem to be having a bit of a um.... problem understanding you um s-ir" he chuckled nervously, fidgeting with his words.

"Did you bid two million, mister?"

Even mentioning the amount sounded heavy on his tongue.

"Yes," the man's voice cut through the air, like a heavy ice blade, giving just a single word.

"In that case this item is yours, sir. Sold to the gentleman in the black mask!" The auctioneer announced, his lips stretching in an ear-to-ear smile. "Please follow the organizers behind backstage to process your payment."

The men who brought me up came out and the fat one dragged me back again, while the other one, the lean one, went down to the audience. As I was taken away, I took one final glance at my new owner. He was standing up from his seat along with his woman to follow the lean guy.

I wasn't taken back to the area where I was being held before; instead I was taken to another part where I presumed my buyer would come to collect me. And shortly after, I saw him coming along with his elegant lady. I didn't dare let my gaze wander up as they approached us.

"On your knees," the man holding me kicked the back of my leg, bringing me down to my knees.

"Don't go rough handling our property now," I heard the woman say, her voice sweet like honey.

My eyes were down on their shoes, slick and expensive obviously.

I heard a clicking sound, another set of shoes approaching.

"Good evening, gentleman, miss," a new voice said, a man. "I hear you intend to pay quite the amount for this one. I am the accountant, please follow me."

My new buyer went along with him, while his woman stayed behind. I could feel her eyes on me.

"Get up," she suddenly ordered.

Without wasting a second I quickly stood to my feet, still keeping my gaze down.

I heard her click her tongue as she came even closer to me and grabbed my jaw, hardly making me face her. She had taken off her mask to reveal her striking beautiful face.

She turned my head to the side, examining my face, with a raised brow. I couldn't tell if the look on her face was curiosity, or she was simply satisfied with what she was seeing.

"He is pretty. What is his name?"

"He doesn't have one, missy," the fat handler replied, nonchalantly.

"Or you simply don't know," the woman said.

"We don't keep past records here." He moved closer to the woman as he spoke, a disgusting smile forming on his lips, his eyes dragging over her full of lust. "But for you, lady, I could do a bit of digging to find that out, if you let me dig that juicy cunt of yours."

I noticed as her eyes turned cold for a moment before she left me and faced the man, a small smile now spreading across her face.

"You want to dig this juicy cunt, huh?" she repeated and the man nodded, chuckling as he grabbed her butt, squeezing.

"Yeah baby, I could make you feel like a queen down here."

"Back away, boy," she waved at me, and I quickly moved away from them.

The next second she kneed the man in the groin.

"Ah!" He groaned out in pain as he crumpled down to his knees, clutching his nuts.

"Crazy cun–" he tried to curse at her, but her fist slammed into his face and quickly silenced him.

"Do you still want this juicy cunt?" she asked, as she pulled out a gun from her thigh.

Pure fear flashed across the man's face when he saw the gun.

"No, I made a mistake, I'm sorry," he began apologizing with his bleeding nose. "Just forget this happ–"

Bang!

I covered my ears as the gunshot rang inside my head. The man dropped to the ground dead, a bleeding hole in the center of his forehead.

There wasn't much of a reaction in me to give. I simply stared at his eyeless body on the wet, dirty ground like it was nothing.

When the ringing in my ears finally stopped, my hands came down to my side.

"Come here and search his pocket for his phone."

I walked up to the lifeless body at her command and did as she said, handing her the phone I found in his pants. After going through it for some time, she dropped it on the ground, smashing it with her heels.

I heard someone approaching us.

"Why did you take so long? Is the job finished?"

I assumed she was speaking to the man who bought me.

"Yes. He's dead," the man responded. "And why is this guy dead?"

"He groped my ass, Marcus. Now can we just get the hell out of here, someone may have heard my gunshot." She said, the urgency thick in her voice.

So his name is Marcus, my new master.

"Should have thought about that before you shot him then." I heard him sigh. "Let's just get out of here."

He grabbed my hands, pulling me behind him. I picked up my pace, half running behind him. All I could see was his hand around my wrist as we sped through the dark underground tunnel-like passage. I didn't understand what was going on, but from their conversation, it seemed like they were here for a target in particular.

But I wasn't sure whom, and I didn't care either.

Finally we reached a metal door that led outside.

He shoved it open with his shoulder, and cold night air immediately slammed into my face.

I flinched, shivering.

For a second I couldn’t breathe. It wasn’t the stale, damp rot of the cages or the iron stink of blood. It was clean air.

First time in over a month I was getting a taste of clean air or even seeing outside.

The woman came through behind us, still tucking her gun back under her thigh slit.

“Move,” Marcus muttered, pulling me forward by the wrist, snapping me out from my brief daze.

His grip wasn’t rough, but it wasn’t gentle either.

Outside, a black limousine waited at the curb, engine running, a driver by the wheel. Marcus opened the back door and shoved me in first. I scrambled across the leather seat, pressing myself into the corner, knees to my chest.

The woman slid in next, then him. The driver quickly hit the road.

For a moment, no one spoke at all. Then Marcus reached up and pulled the mask off.

I didn’t mean to look, but I did.

He was a good looking man, young too, probably around mid-twenties. Sharp jaw line, dark hair slightly messy, eyes the color of storm clouds. When our gazes met, my heart stuttered and I immediately dropped mine to the floor mat.

He said nothing to me, like I wasn’t there. His arm went around the woman instead, pulling her against him. Then his mouth was on hers, kissing her deep and slow, her fingers in his hair, while she moaned against his lips.

They didn’t care that I was there.

“You’re such a bastard, Marcus,” she breathed when he finally let her up for air, laughing softly. "I didn't think you'd actually bid that amount for the boy. You know I was only joking when I asked you to buy him for me."

"If I didn't buy him, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet my target tonight. Take it as a two-way win, you got a new pet, I got to kill that fucking traitorous accountant," I heard Marcus respond.

So that was the reason I was bought, as a whimsy request, an opportunity to get to someone.

The car moved smoothly through the city. I kept my eyes down, counting the stitching on the seats, trying not to hear them as they continued to make out.

We passed through iron gates, eventually entering a large manor. The limo finally stopped.

When the door opened, I was hauled out into gravel. A big mansion loomed in front of me, the entire place lit up like it was daytime.

A tattooed man came down the front steps, his sleeves rolled up to show ink crawling up his arms.

“Boss,” he said, nodding at Marcus. "How was the job?"

"Smooth, Jacob." Marcus gestured to me. “Take him to the workers’ quarters. Find him a room or something, he's Lydia's new pet.”

The tattooed man, Jacob, glanced at me.

“Come on,” he muttered, already heading towards the side of the house, with me following behind.

I could see

the workers' house not too far.

We only made it three steps past the hedges when a gunshot cut through the air from somewhere near the front gates.

~TIANA {POV}~A sharp ringing pain shot through my head the moment my eyes opened, causing me to shut them again for a quick second before I slowly opened them once more.I tried to sit up on what I assumed to be a bed, my brows knitting together as the pounding in my head only worsened with the movement. It was a dull, throbbing ache in my skull, like someone was hammering against my brain from the inside."Careful now."Someone whom I hadn't noticed spoke beside the bed. My eyes snapped toward the source of the voice, only for them to widen when I saw him, the comatose man from last night. He was in a wheelchair, his temples resting against his knuckles as he stared at me with a plain coldness in his eyes."You hit your head so hard last night I was starting to think you might never wake up," he said, his voice deep with a slightly rough edge beneath it.So this was what he sounded like.Registering what he had just said, my hand came up to my head to feel the bandage wrapped arou

Her flowing long red hair shining like a phoenix. Was I seeing an angel?Did this mean I was finally dead?As these questions spiraled through my head, she reached out her hand to me.I hesitated for a moment before taking her hand, and the moment our hands made contact, a heavy force yanked me forward, pulling me out from the darkness. When my eyes opened again, there was someone in my face staring right at me, and no, this person wasn't the beautiful girl from my vision with red long hair, it was a boy with dull eyes, bruised face, and he was touching me.He looked scared when he saw that I was staring right at him and imme

  • Resold To The Ruthless Mafia Lord    The Auction

~TIANA (POV)~“Fifty thousand going once, going twice, sold!” The auctioneer’s voice rang out, reaching the back of the stage where I was.Dragging myself up to my knees, my fingers curled around the old rusty iron bars of my own personal cage, my gaze trained on the small crack in the curtains separating the part where I was and the part where the bidding was going on.I saw as the newly sold merchandise, a young crippled boy, was carried off the stage, and then the next item was dragged up there, another set of damaged goods just like the rest of us here. This was an underground human auction site, but not just any regular one. This one was a dump site, where all abandoned, unwanted, discarded goods were dropped off for recycling, if one could call it that. This was where the worst of the worst kind of men from society came to buy, where the ones with little change in their pockets could afford a human pet for whatever use they wanted it for.I was not even considered human in a pla
