Rux’s POV

The forest I felt like it was closing in on me from all sides, and the shadows were making frightening shapes that danced just out of sight. The air was thick and smelled really bad, making it impossible to breathe. Each breath I took felt heavy, like I might choke. I told my team to spread out in an open half circle, and we searched the area carefully. Every sound, like a snapped twig or rustle in the trees, made my heart race with fear.

Something strange had happened in this small part of the forest within our country's borders. I could smell it a mix of rotten meat and burnt fur. As one of the leaders of our group, I could feel danger. I told my team to be cautious. Despite our experience, we trusted each other to face any obstacles together. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. My senses were suddenly very sensitive. I could feel the stress in the air as we searched for clues. Then, we found it a strange, disturbing odor that seemed to hang in the air like a
