All shades of dirty-minded

I took a sip of my cocktail to swallow down whatever anxiety was welling inside of me. The alcohol would help tame it down too.

“Why are you so intent on getting me, Shawn?” I asked him, trying to be smug.

He was almost halfway down his soup. “It’s obvious. I like you.” He shrugged.

“Like me as in want to have sex with me?”

“Trust me, Serenity, if I like you enough to want to have sex with you, then I like you a bunch. I am very selective when it comes to my women.”

The bastard was just overly confident. This soup would do well if I spilled it on his face. “Why? What's so special about me? For one, I'm boring.”

He chuckled amusingly. “You are feisty and smart. That's my type of woman. Not to mention your originality. You keep it natural. From your looks to your outfits.”

Originality?

He’d know not to accord originality with me by the time I was done with him. “You mentioned something about your women. How many do you have?” I stirred my soup.
