I Missed You, So I Came To See You

Rex almost fell on his knees at Ariana's words. Was she joking? This had to be a joke! Getting pregnant wasn't part of the deal! But was she truly pregnant?

"You… you are joking, right?" Rex stuttered, his hands a little shaky.

"Baby, I am not joking! I just came back from the hospital today. Hold on, I think the result is in my bag" Ariana said, searching the bag she hastily picked up when rushing to the hotel.

She finally saw the piece of paper and handed it to Rex whose face was still filled with shock. He had managed to hide the annoyed look on his face.

Vera who was looking at them like a third wheeler felt her anger and jealousy growing by the minute. She was still angry over the proposal that Rex just made to Ariana, even though she knew it was just for show. And now, Ariana is pregnant?

She knew she had to leave this place or else she was going to do something drastic out of her jealousy. How could Rex get Ariana pregnant when they are making plans to get married?

With tears which were threatening to fall and the red eyes filled with hatred for Ariana, she walked out on them trying so hard to hide her emotions. Rex was so engrossed in the test results that he didn't notice when Vera left.

"Aren't you happy, Rex?" Ariana asked. It's been some few minutes now and Rex hasn't replied or even shown any feelings except a shocked face.

Rex immediately snapped out of his shocked state and adjusted his emotions. He smiled widely as he picked her up, pouring kisses on her face.

"Why won't I be happy, Ariana? This is a double blessing! Do you know how much I wished we could start our own family?" Rex said, beaming with smiles.

"You… you are not annoyed, right?" Ariana asked, still thinking it was too good to be true. Although he just engaged her, it still doesn't mean that he was ready to be a father so soon.

Ariana was happy that he accepted the pregnancy because the doctor had warned her not do any abortion after the first one she did the first month she slept with Rex. The doctor had warned them to be careful and avoid pregnancy because the next abortion might take her life.

"Silly! Why would I be annoyed? We are getting married, right? It's actually a blessing that you got pregnant. I am just worried that I have nothing to cater for our needs" Rex said, looking sad and dejected.

Ariana has also thought about that too. If they want to start a family, then they have to have a job or business. She already has a job. The only thing was for Rex to have something to do too.

"Don't worry, Rex. We will sort it out very soon" Ariana promised.

"Let's go home to celebrate this double blessing!" Rex said, holding her hands tightly.

Ariana nodded as she let him hold her hands. Her heart was filled with love.

Vera was still fuming in anger by the time she got home. She threw everything on the table to the ground, breaking every object she sets her eyes on. With eyes filled with rage and hatred, she picked up her phone.

Staring at the number on her phone, she closed her eyes taking in a deep breath before opening them. With a suppressed emotions, she sent just two words to the number on her phone.

"Fix this!"

In less than a second, there was a message beep on her phone. She looked at it before a rare smile played on her face. She knew she could trust him.

"Ariana, I will make sure you never have him!" Vera muttered to herself.

She walked up to the wine bar in her living room and poured herself a glass of strong wine. Tonight was supposed to be a memorable night for her but it turned out to be one of the most hated night instead. She promised to make Ariana pay for ruining her night! And not just ruining it but also taking what does not belong to her!

Vera knew that Rex was going to propose to her tonight but she just wanted to spice up her proposal by seeing Ariana's pitiful face while Rex proposes to her. Little did she know that Rex would change his mind at the last minute!

She wasn't going to give up because she would fight till Ariana loses it all. She wasn't going to lose a gold mine like Rex. If his family call him back, he would become rich again. He had never told her the reason he left home in the first place.

Not that she minded because she only wanted him to get back to his family and get married to her. She would finally become the big madam she always wanted to be.

As she was drinking her wine, there was a light knock on her door. She thought that it was Rex so she hurriedly opened the door.

"Disappointed?" A muscular voice asked, his breath reeking of alcohol and nicotine.

"What the f**k are you doing here, Sam?" Vera asked, her eyes darting around as she drew the man inside her house.

" I missed you so I came to f***k you. Got a problem with that?" Sam asked, his eyes roaming all around her body.

Vera wished she could just drag this damn fool out of the house. Did he want the deal to go sour? What if Rex comes back tonight after placating that bitch?

"Sam, let's go to your house instead" Vera said, dragging the half drunk man with him.

Vera dragged Sam along with her as they left the apartment. Deep down she was still seething with anger at what just happened. How could Rex propose to that bitch just because she caught them?

Vera bit her lips and she vowed she was going to let Ariana taste betrayal and grief all her life. She was just eagerly waiting for Rex's plan to come to fruition and then their plan would be executed.
