Chapter 9

Emily did not answer Derek immediately. She thought for a moment and said, "I can help Aaron, but I'm not sure if I can cure him since I'm not a doctor."

"Also, I can go to the Scott's often, but I won't live there," Emily added.

"Deal." Derek knew that Emily would not agree to be Aaron's nanny. However, he was willing to take a step back since she was special to Aaron. She could make Aaron feel better.

Then Derek looked at Aaron. "Let's go home."

Aaron, however, kept looking at Emily.

"Aaron, I need to take care of Diane now. In a few days, I'll go to your house to see you, okay?" Emily crouched.

  Aaron nodded.

  "And Ian."

Ian was happy since Aaron also cared about him.

"Alright, I'll go to your house to see you and Ian," Emily laughed.

Derek nodded at Emily and Louise before leaving with Aaron and Ian.

Emily closed the door and saw Louise was still standing there.

"Louise, what's wrong?" Emily found it strange.

"Emily, I didn't know that you've been through so much. And I thought Bennett was ill. I didn't expect things to be so complicated." Louise suddenly embraced Emily.

Emily felt her tears fall on her neck, and her expression softened. Emily patted Louise's back and comforted her.

"It's okay, Louise. The most painful moment has passed. Now I have you by my side, right?"

"Louise, are you crying?" Diane ran over, looking curious.

Louise refused to raise her head. She blushed since she was crying in front of Chris and Diane.

"I'm not crying. Don't look at me, Diane," Louise said anxiously.

Chris could tell that Louise was shy, so he said, "Diane, let's go for some dessert."

  Chris took Diane away.

Emily took Louise to the bathroom because Louise's eyes were a little swollen.

When Louise calmed down, Emily asked her to go home.

Diane still needed to stay in the hospital for a night. If there were no problems, she would be discharged tomorrow.

The next day, Emily took Diane and Chris to a nice meal for a celebration.

After they returned home, they lay in bed and didn't want to get up.

"Mommy, are you going to see Aaron tomorrow?" Chris suddenly asked.

"Yes, it is my job now. Louise will come to look after you and Diane tomorrow, okay?" Emily explained. She knew that Chris was worried about her, so she told him about tomorrow's arrangements.

"Chris, do you know that I love you very much? Although I have encountered many unfortunate things, it is the luckiest thing for me to have you and Diane." Emily hugged Chris, comforting him.

"Mommy, I want to hug you too." Diane stretched out her hands.

The next afternoon, Emily put Chris and Diane to sleep before she left the house and drove to the Scott's.

After lunch, Ian had been waiting by the door.

"Daddy, why isn't Emily here yet?" Ian was tired from standing. He ran to Derek and sat down.

Derek put down his pen and looked at Ian in surprise. "Do you not hate Emily? Why are you even more anxious than Aaron?"

"I'm helping Aaron." Ian blushed. He turned his head and did not look at Derek.

Derek knew Ian lied. In fact, Derek also felt strange. Rose gave birth to Aaron and Ian, but she didn't care about them at all. Aaron and Ian seemed to know Rose's attitude toward them and they didn't like her either.

Back then, Rose suddenly came to Derek and said that she had given birth to two children for him. His first reaction was to refuse.

However, the moment he saw Aaron and Ian, Derek felt that he needed to look after them. He loved Aaron and Ian, and he wanted them to be healthy and happy.

Derek thought that Rose's company would be best for Aaron, so he agreed to get engaged to her.

However, when he saw Aaron's attitude towards Emily, Derek began to feel that Aaron was cold to Rose, not because he was sick.

Ian was not autistic, but he also didn't like Rose.

In addition, Derek felt that Rose had hidden something from him about what had happened at the engagement party.

  "Emily!" Ian shouted happily.

Derek came out of his trance and saw Aaron run down the stairs and jump into Emily's arms.

"Emily, I missed you so much." This was the longest sentence Aaron had spoken since he was born.

Emily gave Aaron and Ian lollipops. They looked very happy.

At this time, Derek received a call.

"Emily, I need to go out now.  Please take care of Aaron and Ian."

After hanging up the phone, Derek said to Emily.

  Then he went out.

Emily took Aaron and Ian upstairs to play games.

The room was filled with their laughter.

Not long after Derek left, Rose came to the Scott's.

She often came to the villa to see her children, so the security guards at the door wouldn't stop her. She came to the door easily.

Ian came downstairs, but he didn't like the servants following him, so he sent them away.

At this time, Ian heard a knock on the door, and he ran toward it.

He saw Rose through the video doorbell. "Why is the bad Mommy here? Daddy is not here," he murmured.

Rose saw that no one was answering the door, so she knocked a few more times.

"Mommy, Daddy is not home. You can come another day." Ian opened the door reluctantly.

After that, he wanted to close the door. Although Rose was his mother, he did not want to see her.

"Wait, Ian." Rose saw that Ian was about to close the door. She quickly pushed it open. Ian fell to the ground.

"Ian, I'm here to see you and Aaron. How can you not let me in? You are so rude. No one will like you," Rose blamed.

Ian's eyes turned red. The fall just now was so painful. He wanted to cry, and Rose's words also hurt him.

Ian stood up and shouted angrily, "Get out. I don't want to see you!"

"Ian, you are such a savage boy. Derek will not like you, and Aaron won't either. Everyone will hate you!" Rose threatened him.

Ian couldn't help crying. Rose was such a terrible woman.

"Shut up!" A woman's voice cut in.

Rose let go of Ian and raised her head. When Rose saw this woman, her eyes widened in surprise.
