Nova’s POV

I was beyond surprised to see that my uncle Mateo was home, when he interrupted the very nice kiss that Aldo greeted me with when he came to pick me up tonight. Aldo talks about my sweet watermelon kisses, but his are sweet mint and strawberry. I know it is toothpaste and lip balm, but it's so delightful when the flavors come from his lips.

I’m also so glad that Uncle Mateo decided to join us. I am not surprised that all of my friends think my uncle is hot. He is older than me but we share some features, his face is a little broader, his nose is smaller, as are his lips and his skin is a caramel color as opposed to my more mocha shade. Then we have the same curly coils, but mine are purple and black while his are a warm brown. We are both known for having the best of our family’s features.
