Chapter 19

Ambrose stared at the ceiling, waiting for sleep to come upon him. Ever since he woke up, he felt something different about Matthew. He even felt different when he heard that the children were already born. Whatever doubts he had before have vanished. However, there is the nagging feeling that they aren't telling the truth about Alana. He knew just by looking at Matthew's face but he didn't want to dwell on it. Mostly because he still felt too tired.

Ambrose is excited to see the babies, it distracts him from the fact that he can't move the lower half of his body. There is a possibility that he may never be able to walk again. Ambrose closed his eyes for the nth time in an attempt to finally fall asleep. When he opened his eyes, he was already surrounded by nurses checking on his vitals. He looked out the window and saw the sun has already risen. He let out a sigh of relief upon realizing that he actually fell asleep.
