Chapter 20

"Hey, son," Lucas greeted as Matthew opened the door for him.

It's been almost a month since the last incident with Ambrose and Ambrose no longer wanted to see him. Lucas and Melanie visit him now and again, updating him on how Ambrose was doing. They also learned the truth about how the two decided to get married and everything else under the sun. They were shocked, of course. They always thought the two married out of love seeing how they are with each other. Ambrose was also remembering bits and pieces from his memory but he won't share which.

Their parents felt bad about forcing marriage onto them. They thought wrong when they thought the two were in love. They loved each other, just not the way people thought, not until almost a year ago anyway. Maybe things would've turned out much differently than they did.

"Hey," Matthew replied as he moved aside to let him in. "How is he?"

"He's doing great. Doing much better than the past few days. The doctor said is recovering much faster
