A few more days passed and they heard nothing from Drake or his lawyer. They have no way of contacting him so Matthew was just hoping that the man just gave up. Ambrose had another physical therapy session scheduled so Matthew is driving him back to his parent's home. A few days had passed since the incident and the police had yet to update them on anything about the case. Matthew was looking worse for wear with each day that passes. He barely eats and this time, Ambrose was the one who was using all his strength to power both of them through. The doctors had to resort to tube feeding at one point because Matthew refused to eat or even drink. Ambrose thought that after their last conversation, Matthew would at least be talking to them but after that day, no words ever came out of his mouth again no matter how many times they tried to make him talk. They even tried getting a psychiatrist and a psychologist for him but he was still unresponsive. It also made it difficult for his wound to heal properly since his body was depleted of nutrients that he needed to recover. A week passed and Matthew was finally discharged from the hospital. In the week that passed, the police found out that both the nannies were involved in the kidnapping. They were sending Drake the family's schedule and were paid a hefty amount to help them go into hiding once the crime was done. Fortunately enough, the two were quickly found. They weren't exactly doing a good job of hiding. It was also the day of the first hearing. Ambrose insisted on coming with them but Matthew refused.
