Chapter 144- A Taste of Power

Lucifer’s POV

“Don’t be so sure about that.” Her body begins to glow purple at the same time as Remiel’s begins to glow. Power floods the room as Remiel turns around to face me, the same evil glint in his eyes.

Power floods my system, a fraction of the power I once wielded back when I was the Ruler of the Demon Realm. “I don’t want to hurt you Remiel.” My eyes pleaded with him to back down.

A malicious laugh rumbles up his chest as his eyes narrow on me. “That’s too bad Uncle.” He spits the word Uncle out like it was something disgusting in his mouth. “Because I want to hurt you.” He launches himself at me before the last of his words leave his mouth. His eyes glowing purple as he accesses the well of power that Eve has provided for him in the absence of his own.

Heavy fists come down hard on me, barely missing my head as I raise my arms up to block his attack. I push back at Remiel, shoving him further into the room and away from the portal that leads to Eve.
