Jamari’s POV

“Stay here and watch the staircase from down here.” Levi’s orders break through my thoughts as I stare around at all of the shelves full of books. It could take weeks to go through all of the books in this room.

“There are a lot of books in this room.” My eyes continue to roam over the many shelves of books, my shoulders sagging slightly. Maybe finding this book won’t be as easy as I first thought.

“How do we know which book is the one we need?” Kenji asks the words that have been weighing on my mind.
