CHAPTER 23
Calla looked around herself. A moment ago she was sitting on the couch and watching Ethan and his friend performing a spell. And the other moment, she was standing in the same forest she had seen so many times in her dreams. She was standing all alone. "Ethan." She screamed loudly. She was expecting Ethan to come and get her but she didn't know that he was trapped already. She looked at the sky and found the dark Moon. It was full but eclipsed. She gulped hard in fear.

Ethan turned to face Brandon with a smirk on his face. Ethan punched Brandon and he fainted. "What a waste." Ethan said and went out of the house. Calla opened her eyes and stretched her arms above her head. A yawn escaped her lips, she stood up and went to the bathroom. She peeled off her clothes and hopped into the shower. She washed her body, brushed her teeth and stepped out of the bathroom. A towel wrapped around her small figure, she stepped into the closet to find something to wear. The closet was filled with Ethan's clothes, nothing for her to wear. She pulled out his t-shirt and jeans and wore them. She dried her hair and stepped out of the closet. Ethan and Andrew came back to Ashley's territory at night. They searched for the stalkers all day, they have found a few newly turned vampires but they couldn't get to the person behind this all. Ethan tried to open the door of his bedroom but it was locked. He fished out the room keys from his pocket and unlocked the door he stepped into the room and found Calla sleeping. Ashley opened his eyes when he heard a loud moan. He knew the voice belonged to his granddaughter, Calla. He rolled his eyes when he heard her again. A gruffy chuckle made its way to his ear and he quickly sat up on the bed. He then noticed that he wasn't in his room. He was at Ethan's place and the room was actually his father's room. He looked at the other side of the bed and found his father sitting on the bed, chuckling lightly. He rolled his eyes again seeing his father's teasing smirk. "Stop teasing me father." He said in an annoyed tone.

Calla was sitting in her office. She again started her job. She knew Sidney would never call her but she also knew Sidney could not handle the whole business on her own. Ashley promised Ethan and Calla that he would help them and will do anything in his power to find out who killed Mara and Xavier and who is Sophie's stalker. Ethan stopped the truck by a hotel. Calla and Ethan, both hopped out of the truck. Ethan grabbed both of their luggage and they both made their way into the hotel. Ethan booked them a room and then pulled Calla towards their room. Calla opened the door and they both stepped into the room. Calla laid down on the bed with her feet still on the ground. Ethan put the luggage into the closet. He then walked back to the room and sat beside Calla. He ran his fingers through his hair and turned to look at Calla. "Are you asleep, Calla?" He asked. Calla shook her head but didn't open her eyes.

"Calla…" Calla slowly opened her eyes when someone whispered in her ear. She looked around and found herself laying on the grass. She sat up and tried to remember how she had gotten here. She stood up from the ground, the weather was very foggy and everything around her was blurry."Hello…" Calla called out but got no response.

"This is it. Your Master brought me here." Calla informed Ethan as they both reached the river. Calla remembered everything. Calla grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards the cliff, just like Dalton had done. Ethan didn't question her once and kept walking. He saw the end of the cliff. He looked at her but she didn't stop. She stepped upon the cloud and so did Ethan. In a flash, the whole scenery changed. Ethan looked around and found himself standing in his hometown. Calla squeezed his hand knowing the spell would be effecting him as it did to Calla the first time she visited.
