"Hah!" I exclaimed, satisfied, as the cold beer slipped down my throat. "This is so freaking refreshing!"

"Be honest with me, Brae. Have you been food and liquor-deprived for the past couple of months? Because why do you always eat and drink as if you've been so hungry and so thirsty for alcohol for years?" Caesar questioned with a chuckle.

"Try being a writer, and you'll know the answer to your question," I replied, my gaze fixed on the big sea in front of us and the cold wind blowing on my face. "I could even count on my fingers the nights where I had a decent sleep and a decent meal since I started writing that newly released novel of mine."

"They did not give you a break?" Caesar inquired, his voice full of surprise.

"My break would be up to me, but I have a deadline to follow. And if I keep taking breaks, there is no way I will reach the deadline to submit my novels. So, I always choose to finish my novels first, then take a long break. But it's been a year since I have taken a l
