Stephanie POV

It really was one thing after another. Everything was never-ending.

A cruel pack council trying to decide my fate; being poisoned by wolfsbane; awakening a prophecy apparently; getting into a car crash because Tyler’s own father slashed his tires; getting locked into a secret tunnel; finding out that said tunnel led to a secret cabin of writings, plans, maps, forged documents, and more of plans for a rebellion of rogues against pack wolves—orchestrated by my mother and Tyler’s aunt.

Oh, and my mom was a rogue, and I never knew.

Wait. There was also Tyler’s ex–the woman who poisoned me–spreading rumors about how dangerous I was and needed to be put down.

Ooh, and the cherry on top—the amulet Amaris gave me was missing.

Just let me crawl under a rock for a while, I silently begged the Goddess as I frantically searched for the silver chain.

Without thinking, I lurched toward the tunnel bookshelf.

I yelped when Tyler’s arm hooked around my middle and yanked my back against h

  • Rogue Mate of the Alpha   Fire and Fury

Stephanie POVWe were flying down the streets twenty miles over the speed limit. It was a damn miracle we didn’t get pulled over and immediately arrested.Tyler was calling everyone on the Council, but no one was answering. Every time he was sent to voicemail, he roared in desperate frustration, and I had to catch his wrist before he chucked his phone out of the car.He dialed his father’s number again. No answer.“Stupid fucking bastard,” Tyler seethed, his voice tight.Translation: Please don’t be dead.“Connor told me,” Kellen explained over the lashing wind. “Texted everyone last night not to bother you. Honestly, it’s a miracle you both still had your phones on you. Anyway, I called everyone as well. My dad hasn’t even picked up. Mom gives vague as shit answers. Something’s wrong. Like, they’re all in on something—super fishy.Tyler’s eyes darkened. “The last thing I want to do is jump to conclusions, but this isn’t an accident. It’s not the first time the Rogers family’s been ta

  • Rogue Mate of the Alpha   Mate Bond Tested

Tyler POVI felt every pulse of Steph’s pain—her fear, her anger, her desperation. They mingled with my own helplessness to protect her while wrestling with my title as heir on the line.No one said as much, but it sure as hell felt like it, or at least leading up to it. I defied my father too many times in fewer days not to be on thin ice. I was siding with a rogue, publicly defending her and defying pack laws—it was a one-way ticket to being kicked out, forced to fend for myself. But I was an heir, the destined future Alpha of the Crescent Ridge pack. The Rogers line was uninterrupted. My father valued that legacy above all else. Would he really disown me—strip me of everything? What was more important to Grayson Rogers: the line of succession or one rogue’s demise?Marcus Ward, the Beta, had given an ultimatum on behalf of the Council. My dad didn’t even have the balls to tell us himself. I knew it hurt Kellen, who held the phone as his dad relayed the threat, his eyes dropped to

  • Rogue Mate of the Alpha   The Underground Truth

Tyler POVThe bookshelf slid closed with terrifying, stone-grinding finality. We were plunged into total darkness.Steph yelped, clinging to my arm so fiercely it hurt, especially when she dug her nails into my muscle.“Steph,” I groaned, wincing as I pried her loose.“What? Oh, sorry. Um–” My mate’s voice was barely a whisper. “I can’t believe she just did that.”There was no sound except for our vitals.“Yeah,” I growled. “That was kind of bullshit.”“It was complete bullshit. Why would she do that?”“She wants us to discover something ourselves, clearly.”“Well, yeah, but did she have to do it that way?”“Apparently, we need to gain ‘a sense of adventure.’”Steph huffed. “We just got into a car accident. I do not want to leap into ‘adventure.’” She paused, then said more worriedly, “We didn’t get to take stock of our injuries. Are you okay?”“No, but I will be,” I said, repeating her earlier words. I wished I could see her, but I couldn’t see my own hand an inch from my face. When

  • Rogue Mate of the Alpha   Hidden in Plain Sight

Steph POV“You are not a burden, Steph! You are my choice!”The words carved into my heart, soul, and mind, where they would remain until the end of my days.Ever since I was branded, ever since my mother left and my father turned to vices, I had never felt like enough. Never good enough. Never smart enough. Never worthy enough of time or attention or good things. Ever since then, I was a burden… to myself as much as my father, newly widowed, raising a six-year-old on his own. But I was a quiet child. I never acted out, never cried… just behaved, an isolated and scarred little girl.I became an adult, but I was still isolated and scarred, and too poor to afford therapy. But no therapist needed to tell me just how relentlessly self-blaming I was.I could hear them now. “You’re thoroughly fucked up, Miss Channer. That’ll be three thousand dollars. We accept most credit cards.”Not good enough, a burden… and no one’s choice. Hell, the first time I was last-picked at school dodgeball, I

  • Rogue Mate of the Alpha   Council Threats

Tyler POVA few days ago, I thought I’d be hanging around with my devil-may-care buddies, flirting up flings, knocking back beers at Howlers, and avoiding responsibilities of learning to be a good—no, a great—Alpha. I was the golden son and heir with a bad-boy streak. I was looked up to for my loyalty despite my flaws. I was dedicated solely to Crescent Ridge, no questions asked.Never in a million years would my spoiled, entitled ass think I would even chat to a rogue. Much less defend one. Much less find a mate in the same one.But I hadn’t hesitated to stand up for her—to stand up to my father. A betrayal of the century! Fodder for the gossiping women of the pack to prattle on about for decades to come! A Rogers heir going against everything instilled in his forefathers, going back further than anyone could count—turning his back on all right-minded opinions, facts, and truths.Yada, yada.It was all just fucked-up grooming and conditioning. And I believed it all… until I met Step
