Four

Chapter 4

"Are you stalking me or something?" she asked irritation filled her voice.

"Surprisingly no, this is just fate bringing us together." he replied charmingly.

"I won't be surprise if you were a stalker though." she muttered under her breath.

"So why are you here?" he asked her like they were friends.

"I should be asking you that." she retorted folding her hands over her chest.

"Well, I'm here to see some guy name Henderson." he shrugged his eyes scanning the cafe. "He told me he was here and for some reason he said he was seating just right where you are." he said turning back to face her.

Harley frowned, she had not seen any guy come seat inside here except the bald dude who kept typing on his computer on one of the center tables in the cafe. She on the other hand decided to send Grey another text to see if she was still outside the cafe. The notification bell of the guy opposite her rang out.

"Weird?" he frowned at his phone before texting a reply back. Harleys phone dinged in notification the same time and she looked up from her phone the same time the guy did.

"Henderson?"

"Grey?"

They said simultaneously.

Harley stared at the person who was supposed to be her roommate in shock. She had assumed it was a girl, seeing the black haired girl on his profile picture. She was confused and he was sure equally confused.

"I thought you were a girl." she managed to say.

"And I thought you were a guy." he replied smartly.

"You're not the girl on your profile." she pointed out.

"That's my sister." He replied immediately his eyes widening as he realized what he just said. "Shit! Shit! I should've changed it sooner." he cursed under his breath throwing his head backwards.

Harley could only stare at him make a fuss as he tugged on his hair.

"But this is equally your fault too!" he said leaning into the table which made her move back instinctively.

"My fault?!" she whisper yelled not wanting to draw any more attention from May who was already watching the two of them.

"How is this my fault?" she asked.

"Forgive me for thinking that Henderson is a girls name." He stated.

"Are you kidding me? Their was no Henderson." She said picking her phone as she opened the app and clicked on her profile shoving it into his face. "It says H. Anderson." she said.

"I just assumed it was Henderson." he defended. "Forgive me for ever thinking it was a girl I was getting as a room mate."

Harley was beginning to hate how this was turning out and rubbed her fore head to release the knot forming.

"It was clearly a mistake." she said. "We definitely can't be room mates." she expresses.

"You're not as the cool girl who texted me yesterday, you seem uptight and stern like in class." he complained out of the blue and she could feel her face grow red.

"Whatever." she hissed. "We can't be and will never be room mates." she said sternly.

"Why?" he asked and she looked at him like he said the earth is flat.

"Because for one, you're a guy. Two, you're annoying. Three, you're a stalker and four, you just impersonated your sister." she explained counting her fingers as she did.

"Let me clear that out for you. One lots of girls have male roommates. Two, I am the list chasing person ever. Three, I'm definitely not stalking you. Fate just have a way of leading me to you." he winked at her and she rolled her eyes.

"And finally, Anaise being on my profile isn't any sort of impersonation. You would know that if you had checked my gender on the app and not judge of some fifteen year old picture on my profile." He said.

Harley claimed her mouth shut, he was right. If she had paid much attention to his profile she would have noticed that gender as he/him and not a her/she.

"I am not like those girls and this doesn't change anything. I can't share my apartment with you." she said firmly rising to her feet. "You'll have to look for some place else, sorry for wasting your time and that's final." she walked out of the cafe with her bag slung over her shoulder.

She opened the app as she walked on the street, tapping on the for rent button. She heaved out a sigh, turning her head backwards to glance at the sky, the clouds were getting darker and heavier. Great it was going to rain and she was without a roommate.

Harley, like some people hated the rain. From the heavy thunderous beating of water drops on the roof to the rumbling of thunder in the sky. It scared her and made her want to crawl and hide under her blanket until it was all over.

She managed to get back to her room before the rain started, she needed to start making dinner so she heads to the kitchen.

Making noodles and some spicy sauce she walked into her room, her eyes falling on the empty space. She sighed and placed the plate in the middle. She grabbed her blanket and laptop wrapping them around herself and turning on the computer as she put on some thing to watch while she ate.

The rain had gotten intense halfway through the movie, scared for her life and her electronic safety she switched of her laptop and climbed to her bed holding the blanket up to her chin as she watched from the window the cracked light flashing in the sky.

The rumbling was getting tender and louder making Harley grab her phone and plugged in her ear piece as she played some relaxing music at the highest volume which over shadowed the noise from outside. In no time she could feel her eyes flutter close as the sleep over helm her.
