"What did you do to him?" Jayk asks as the two of us watch Micca reading a book down by the lake behind Sloane's house. It took him a while to calm down, but once he did the emptiness slowly started to drift away and he slept for a good six hours.

I rush down the stairs and into the kitchen to grab something quick to eat. Jay is sitting at the kitchen island in front of the fridge. He's reading the paper.
