Chapter 5 Godmother

I opened my eyes and I was now alone on the bed, I quickly covered my body with the sheet, I can't believe I fell asleep after that rough round, gosh I can't remember the last time I was touched and pleasured by a man, Williams and I had several issues in the past few months which has caused a lot of rifts in our marriage to the point that William stopped sleeping in the same bed as mine but I never knew it would lead to the point of us drifting apart and denying each other of our marital rights.

It's weird cause throughout the years I've been married, my husband has never made me feel this way, he has never pleasured me like Lorenzo did, for the first time in my life I felt like a woman, I understood what it felt like to be touched and pleasured, and I cannot believe I drifted into sleep right after sex, it was something that has never happened to me before. 

Lorenzo is not just some regular man, hrs a man that knows how to pleasure a woman, and maybe I was wrong before I think he's the perfect rebound that I need, in other for me to forget Williams and get him out of my mind, I can use Lorenzo as long as we are both aware that we are benefitting from each other, I think we are going to be fine. 

He already gave me a roof over my head, my son and I have a place to sleep, we have food to eat and most of all we can satisfy each other, what more do I want it's not like I'm going to fall in love with him, that will never happen, I've had enough of these men I just want to heal from this trauma and focus on raising my son.

As soon as I remembered my son, I quickly stood up from the bed, I picked my clothes and exited the room, I quickly made my way towards my room but as I entered I found my baby boy still sound asleep, I walked straight to the bed and gently sat down beside him while I watch him with eyes full of love, it's more like he noticed my presence cause the next moment his eyes flipped open, 

I carried him in my arms and went straight to the bathroom, I prepared a hot bath which I used in bathing him after which I went downstairs to make him something to eat, I was still in the kitchen when I heard the doorbell so I carried my baby and went out to check who's on the door, 

“Good morning” 

It was an older lady, probably old enough to be my granny, that's old she is, I guess she might be in her late sixties, 

“Uhm, morning mam, how can I help you?”

“I was sent by the general, he said I should help you out in taking care of the baby” 

I was a little bit confused cause I never discussed with Lorenzo about getting a Nanny for my baby

“I'm sorry mam, are you a nanny?”

“Of course not” She smiled walking deeper into the house, 

“I'm Lorenzo’s godmother”

“Ohhh” 

“He mentioned that your baby is still small and tender and he wanted me to come help you in taking care of the baby”

“Uhm, I can actually do it on my own” I smile 

“Of course honey, Lorenzo told me that you're going to be his wife soon, so I had to run and come see who he has finally decided to settle down with” 

“He told you about that?” I asked in surprise 

“Hmm, can I have the baby?” She asked with a genuine smile,

“Of course” I quickly place the baby in her arms, 

“Awws he's so cute, you know as soon as I heard that Lorenzo now has a baby I quickly took the next available flight to come see for myself, everyone in the family is so excited, you can't believe how long everyone have been waiting for this moment” 

I wasn't just shocked, I was caught off guard, did he just tell his family members that the baby belonged to him?

“Awww my grandson is so cute, welcome to the Apollio's my love” 

I was so shocked that I had to quickly pour myself a glass of water to calm down, 

“So tell me honey, when are you guys planning to get married?”

As soon as I heard that I ended up splashing out the whole water that I have in my mouth

“Are you okay honey” She quickly came to my side,

“Hmmm, I'm fine” I smile nervously cause I was shaking inside, 

“Lorenzo’s parents will be coming down to California in the next three months, we have to plan you guys wedding, we can't delay it any further, Lorenzo has to get married as soon as possible cause the Apollio's has lots of enemies and people who are waiting for our downfall, we can't let them wait” 

“Let me get you something to drink, what would you like?” 

“Uhm I always like my godson favorite drink so get that for me” 

Ohh goodness, how do I tell her that I don't know what Lorenzo's favorite drink is, shit, what do I do? 

Could it be wine? 

Or juice, 

I was still pacing around in the wine cellar when I heard the sound of my phone from upstairs, I quickly made it to my room, it was a strange number, 

“I left your breakfast in the microwave”

“Lorenzo?” 

“Hmmm”

Talk about timing, I quickly breathed out in relief, 

“Your godmother is here you didn't tell me she was coming” 

“I'm sorry it happened so fast”

“What's your favorite drink, she said it's what she would like to drink” 

“Favorite drink? I don't even drink” 

“What about the wine you drank in front of me yesterday?” 

“That's water not wine” 

“Oh, okay” 

If Lorenzo does not drink, why then did that lady ask me to get her his favorite drink? 

Wait, she's testing me….
