Chapter 53: CORD

My eyes snapped open not much longer after. Her weight on my chest did strange things to my heart. I looked down at her sleeping form. Probably about the only time I'll know peace from now on is when she's out like this. But I wasn't thinking about my lost freedom or the end of my peaceful existence, I was too busy being grateful as fuck that I'd found her.
