KHRYSTYANNA'S POINT OF VIEW
It's been a month already.
It may be fast as the wind for others, but for us, a month is equivalent to a decade of our lives. Tears, cries and even lives were wasted in a blink of an eye. It is the most cruel and unforgettable experience in our lives. No one and nothing can turn back time even though it exists because the lives that were lost that very night cannot and will not be revived once again even if we wished for it.
I bit my lip and held the handle tightly and impatiently pulled the trigger multiple times in a row until the target board was shredded to pieces from its ruined centre point.
It hurts so bad. It hurts so bad that it aches my heart. It's like yesterday that I am still happily bonding with them and then the next day, they are gone. What a cruel fate we have.
"You are still as outstanding as the first day you held the gun, Prez!" He looks like a little child while being amused and continuously clapping his hands.
I turned to my companion who is also whistling crazily and the heaviness I feel in my heart slowly subsided that made me smile a bit.
Who am I to blame this guy? He has supported me since I first held the handle of my gun.
I stopped firing the gun and then approached him. He also stopped clapping his hands but the redness of his face didn't escape my sight. I shook my head as I chuckled. That made it redder when I looked at him from the corner of my eye.
"Tian, do you want to try?" I asked Christian what made him fall back. Because I know that he doesn't know how to use the gun and he is afraid of it as well.
"No-no! I am okay just by watching you, Prez. Please don't tease me like that!" He firmly rejected it.
"Okay! Okay! As you say so!" I turned and removed the magazine of the gun and checked if it's empty or not. I returned it inside as I made sure that it's complete. I also secretly put the safety gear on as another prank popped out in my mind.
At a swift and fast move, Christian found the tip of my gun aimed at his forehead. His face turned pale like a sheet of paper. His body becomes stiff from where he is standing. I slowly closed the distance between him and I while my gun was still aiming at him.
I grinned as I looked at him and thought how successful my prank was. I know that it's a bad prank but, I know he will be able to understand my intention.
After doing the deed of pranking Christian, I finally decided to put the gun in the case.
'Every action has its own purpose'— this is the saying I am always believing and hopefully, he knows this.
I approached him while he was still standing stiff. "What if some strangers or maybe someone you know pointed their gun at you? What will you do?" I asked while preparing for my exit.
Christian's pale face with fear turned into a serious one all of a sudden and said, "if that thing really happened. I will not run. I will not escape from the death that is fate for me."
I grinned with his response. It may be a bit cowardly yet he is still brave enough to face it. It only means that he is not afraid of death.
I patted his shoulder when I reached him and said, "I knew that you would say that. Thank you." With that, I decided to walk away, exiting the shooting range.
Christian Redd Dela Cruz or also known as 'Tian' is one of a few friends of mine. He may be a year older than me, but he thinks the same way as us, and worse, he also thinks and acts like a kid sometimes, which made him be the teasing subject of our group.
And I am Khrystyanna Cherrie Solano. A sophomore student of the Oracle Academy and the so-called 'Oracle's Sharp Shooter' or 'Sharp Shooter President' of our beloved academy of Oracle.
THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW
After a couple of hours, in the SSG office. Every officer inside the said group are all in a mess of searching.
"Meghan, Arthur and Bryle! How's your position going?" Christian asked the three people with his intercom radio.
"She is not here in the canteen!" Meghan Sanchez— the secretary replied back.
"She is not here at the court!" Arthur McBride— the broadcasting officer— replied as well.
"Same here at her dorm!" Bryle Reynold— the accounting officer— replied the last.
Christian heaved a sigh after hearing those. He clenched his fists and muttered, "why is it now at all times?"
"Still not found?" A transferee student named Mikael Jace del Fuego asked with an impatient voice.
"P-please. I beg for you to wait for a minute or so. We will look for her." The SSG Vice President pleaded.
"Make it faster. My time is still precious, you know?" The arrogant young man retorted that made the poor Christian shut up. It may be an insult to a person like him who holds a position in the school, but he kept swallowing his pride for he did not want any unnecessary events to come up and trouble his superior. And also, another reason for his behaviour is that the young man in front of him is a person recommended by the Principal, himself.
"Arthur. It's time for you to do your job." Christian ordered by his intercom radio.
"Alright." Arthur murmured as he started to prepare his equipment.
While the SSG building and officers are in a state of panic, the one that they are eagerly searching for is just busy sleeping at the Royale Garden of the Oracle Academy.
THIRD PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW "ATTENTION! We are calling for the attention of Ms. Khrystyanna Solano. Please proceed at the SSG office immediately. Again. Ms. Khrystyanna Solano, please proceed to the SSG office immediately. Thank you." Arthur's voice resounded at the whole academy that caught the attention of everybody. "Does it mean that Miss President is just around here?" A student asked curiously when he heard the announcement of Arthur. "Tch. Just let it be. I am sure that she has a reason for doing it." Another student with him replied. "Well, to be honest, her work as the SSG President is not a joke huh. Just let her have some rest." Another student said. The Oracle Academy is also known for the strict discipline of its students. And the smoke does not come out without the fire, because this way of discipline was shown and acted by their officers that acts as the face of their generation. Meanwhile, a pair of shadows can be seen at the old oak tree. One at its branches an
MIKAEL'S POINT OF VIEWIt's already 7AM when I woke up because of the knocking at my dormitory door. I slightly scratched the corner of my eye while walking my way through the doorway. I flinched at the sudden burst of light when I opened the door. "Argh!" I groaned because of it and it also made me cuss in the back of my mind. When I sobered up, I looked at my visitors that were standing before me. I swallowed the lump of my throat when I finally recognized these guests. I remembered that I am only half-baked with my boxers. I hurriedly grabbed my robe and immediately put it on. Who would have thought that 'that' woman is here?! It's so embarrassing!! In front of me is the SSG President, Christian and... a man that is wearing a mask that only shows his other eye while covering almost his entire face. He is glaring at me while standing beside the SSG President closely. "C-come in." I stuttered as I widened the opening of the door. They did come in and took a seat at the couch,
CEDRIC'S POINT OF VIEWMe and Khrystyanna with Christian came together to pay the transferee named Mikael a visit. I feel uncomfortable and annoyed today because I feel like that brat is stealing Khrystyanna's attention. It was supposed to be me, and me only. I may sound like a jealous boyfriend, but that green monster inside of me is consuming my whole being especially when I saw Khrystyanna laugh because of that brat Mikael. And because of it, I cannot help my dark intent towards that man. When we arrived at the outside of the dorm, Khrystyanna knocked at the door. And while waiting, I asked Khrystyanna with an annoyed tone. "Why do we need to pay him a visit? He may be the son of the Principal but, this is way too over the top even with his identity!" Khrystyanna smiled and then approached me as she fixed up my messy neck tie. I cannot help but to watch her every move as it makes me fall over her every minute and moment I am with her, and makes me blush even when we are not to
MIKAEL'S POINT OF VIEWWhile being taught by the teacher on how to make cupcakes— which is their current activity today— I noticed that most of the students here, especially the boys, seem to dislike me. I cannot help but to sigh because of it. "Khrys." I heard the voice of Cedric, calling Khrystyanna from the table in front of mine. "Kyle?" Khrystyanna responded, calling Cedric's exclusive nickname for her. I cannot help but to notice and watch them from my position. There are a lot of servings of cupcakes that she is making! Cedric made her eat the strawberry in his hand. I cannot help but to sweat and swallow the lump in my throat while watching her. The time seemed to slow down while the strawberry was being served to her until she chewed and swallowed it. I cannot help but to watch them enviously. I thought of how if I am the one beside her and doing lots of fun things with her? How if I am the one she can only see in her world? I shook my head as the greediness in my natur
KHRYSTYANNA'S POINT OF VIEWAfter the Home Economics class, me and Kyle (Cedric) bid our farewells to Ms. Ross and Mikael after she informed us that she had something to explain to the new student. As we both saw it to be reasonable, the two of us rushed outside while carrying the box of cupcakes the two of us made during our class. I want to give these to my colleagues in the Student Council as a form of gratitude for their efforts and hard work. Yes! This is for the Council's. I may be narcissistic in this statement but, I am born with this kindness and with the eye for appreciation for the right people. But, nevertheless, I really have this habit to do even small things for those people who deserve it the most. The Council are not only my colleagues but my friends and family inside the four walls of Oracle Academy. Words cannot simply give justice on how hard working they are. And this little effort I am doing for them is just nothing compared to the merits they have. When we ar
KHRYSTYANNA'S POINT OF VIEW "I am jealous!" Kyle exclaimed that made me stunned to the point that I almost dropped my gun. At the very same time, it felt as if the time slowed down and what we could only hear was the deafening silence between us and the metal sounds from my bullets on the ground. My eyes are wide open as my mind carefully processes what just happened. My mind went into turmoil as I finally realized what he really meant. 'Is this the answer from my prayers?' I thought while still staring at this masked guy in front of me. Despite what I heard, I still cannot make myself believe my hunch on what he really means. I do not want to expect more. I don't want to be drowned from my own delusions and illusions. A question popped in my head as a result. 'Why is he jealous?' I feel like an idiot for the first time in my life. Who would have thought that the famous SSG President of the Oracle Academy would have this moment? If someone gets wind of this they will surely no
MIKAEL'S POINT OF VIEWAfter our confrontation that day, I didn't see both Khrystyanna and Cedric. Well, I am more concerned with Khrystyanna to be honest. And I do not know why Cedric is being hostile towards me. Maybe, because he knows my feelings already? Well, that is not my point. My point is that, it's been a week already that Khrystyanna is absent. It also means that I have a completely incomplete week. "Hmm. Where has she been?" I mumbled while looking up at the sky. "She's already in the competition, bruh." Christian responded as he gently tapped my shoulder that stated his presence. I looked down and then turned to him. I smiled after hearing a clear answer from someone who really knows her. "Really?" I asked excitedly. "Yes. Why? Don't tell me that you only see me as a… liar? That hurts, you know?" He teased me while putting his hand on his chest like he was having a heart attack and in pain. "Why? Missed her?" He added. I smiled and then answered him honestly. "Yeah
SOMEONE'S POINT OF VIEWI was reading today's newspaper when I saw some very interesting news written in it. 'The Sharp Shooter: The Oracle's Pride' was written in bold letters. I smirked at the sight of the picture attached to it. A beautiful lady with fiery red long hair who is holding a very exquisite gun in her hands. She is aiming at the target with her pair of keen silver eyes. It makes one person lose their mind with a quick glance at this picture, and I must admit that I am no exception. "Finally!" I exclaimed with pure satisfaction and then laughed that echoed inside the limo. "Master~" I glared at those women who are changing my name with their annoying slurry voice. They gasped and went silent as I caressed the picture printed on this thin white sheet of paper. It seems that our joyous reunion is approaching. I am looking forward to it. KHRYSTYANNA'S POINT OF VIEWAs I exited at the gates of Ace Academy— the school that hosted the Target Shooting Competition that I p
