Signs

Joanna's body began emitting a blue flamy light that spread across the room, touching every nook and corner aside the shadowed creature. Alasdair was currently in a deep slumber together with Micah. Apparently, before the shadowed creature had walked in, it casted a small sleep spell on them both, making them appear like they had lost sleep for years.

Joanna's body rose in the air, up from the bed.

The machine connected to the tube on Joanna's body began beeping loudly.

The creature rigidly turned to stare at the heart monitor and a crack soon appeared on it before it stopped beeping. The ward was now as silent as a grave yard and it felt like nothing was going on in the outside world.

The creature intently stared at Joanna's sleeping face, raising it fangs and pointed at her forehead before she landed on the bed on her back.

Once this happened, like a thief at night, the shadow disappeared out of the ward, leaving the ward as it once was.
