Chapter 16

At evening, Amelia got a visit from the one person she never expected.

“Stand up!” One said immediately she reached the dungeon where Amelia was.

Amelia knew that voice. Even in her dreams, she would always be able to point it out as that one voice she detested with everything in her.

“One?” Amelia muttered under her breath as she swiftly stood to her feet, wondering what might have prompted her visit.

A guard walked by almost immediately and unlocked the iron bars, causing Amelia’s eyes to pop out in surprise.

“Follow me!” One ordered in a haughty and displeased voice that made Amelia’s heart skipped a beat. She wondered if One was about to kill her or do something bad to her; this made her scared to her bones.

To her surprise, One led her back to their room, with a massive frown on her face that made Amelia more confused.

“Why am I out of the dungeon… I mean, I’m yet to spend up to three days there”, Amelia said with a mixed feeling. She couldn’t say if she was excited to be out,
