CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

The week went by so fast.

The days turned into nights and one day morphed into the next.

They were all the same for Jojo .

And her routine remained the same through it.

Now that her mom was awake more often, she's resigned to cooping herself up in the room with her from dusk to dawn.

That little moment where her mom had cried and looked at her like she knew her was long gone now, only but  a distant memory.

If there was a chance she could have hat again, she wanted to be here when it happens.

But Meghan had slipped back totally to her old self, leaving no sliver of hope for the daughter that was patiently waiting for her recovery.

Sometimes, Jojo wondered if she hadn't read those tears wrong in the heat of her flying emotions.

Maybe her mother had only cried because of the excruciating pain she was having to endure.
