The rays of sunlight streamed from the slits of my curtain, landing on my face. I blinked a few times before opening my eyes. I turned to the right, where the clock was sitting on my nightstand, and it read that it was almost noon.

“Ughh…” I moaned, stretching my back. It felt like I had not slept this well in ages.

My body felt heavy and sore, like a sack of rocks on my shoulders. Wasn't it too early to start feeling that way? I sighed, closing my eyes again.
