Jake
Mike had gone to call the doctor after Elena woke up. They did some tests and informed her that she had to stay for a day for supervision then she was freed to go home and take a rest for a week or two before she could resume work and she nodded in affirmation but I had a feeling she was going to do as she was told and was complying because she didn't want to stay an extra day in the hospital.
A nurse helped her raise her bed so she was now in a sitting position and they left afterward and we were finally alone as Mike had excused himself saying he had some work to do and left.
" So, is he truly going to work this time or going to investigate something else behind me again?" She asked raising an eyebrow at me. I winced at what she said, it was a low blow even if she was right and it was long due.

JakeHe had finished up later than he had wanted to but was still in time for Elena's check out of the hospital. Ashley He wheeled me inside the house and towards one of the guest rooms I was familiar with. The room was surprisingly decorated in a feminine style. ASHLEY My eyes flicked open to see Jake looming over me with a frantic look on his face. Someone was screaming near and I looked around but didn't find anyone. " Elena, calm down. It's okay now, it was just a nightmare." He sat on the bed next to me and held me, making sure he didn't come in contact with my injured side. The screams finally stopped and my breath was coming out in short and harsh. I realized then that it was me who was screaming from the throbbing in my throat. I had taken something close to a bath earlier as most of my weight had to be placed on my right foot and I had to be careful not to get my left injured side wet. JAKE I knew she was going to block me out again but I had to try and use the opportunity. AshleyHer brain froze for a moment and she stilled, trying to process what had just happened.Jake was kissing her! Her heart was beating so fast she believed he could hear it too. She closed her eyes taking in the new sensation, as she had never had any experience of a real kiss.During some of her missions, she had to act like a slut to get to her target but she had made sure never to sleep with any of them. When she kissed any of her targets, she never thought of it as anything but work.Jake wasn't moving much but she could feel everything in her system. It was exhilarating.
